a very low rate, coupons on service, perhaps if you set-up a calander for my vehicles service schedule and contacted me to remind me when service work is due....
Otherwise I have my own credit resources that I would use.

Pros:

1) You tend to get discounts if it's a chain auto store.
2) If you need an expensive part or many parts, you dont' have to come up with the money all at once.
3) It builds credit if repaid on time.

Cons:

1) You tend to buy more things you wouldn't have otherwise.
2) Usually they have very high interest rates.
3) It can hurt your credit if you already have a lot of open revolving accounts or if you fail to pay on time.

What would make me NOT use it would be a high interest rate. If they offer great incentives and not a high rate, why not, but why not just pay it off instead of running up a credit card bill.

They usually have extremley high interest rates!!!! I would stay away from them unless you can find a special financing term that gives you say 6 months with no interest
