My favorite color is pink. I wanted to go with that, but my fiance doesn't like that idea. I have been browsing through my bride mags and what they show for fall weddings are just not to my liking. (Oranges and reds and greens....NOT for me, thanks, I don't want it to look like an Autumn lawn.) However I did find a beautiful gown with a very unique lavendar color. (Just looking at gowns, haven't purchased anything) Besides chocolate and a dusty rose, what are some other color combos you can think of? I did see a beautiful turquoise color along with chocolate. But turquoise isn't really "me".

Drr.....I didn't even think of light blue and chocolate. Good idea.

But no red or orange ideas....I don't want them.

Tiffany blue and chocolate are a classic combination. And dusty rose and chocolate is what I was going to suggest. But another great idea is to take another color combo you like and just have pink as an accent. Like apple green and chocolate brown on fresh white but with pink as an accent. Like white centerpeices with apple green buds and a dusty pink ribbon tied around. Think fresh it works for all seasons. By the way I am great at finding things for weddings like favors for a quarter of the price. If you need my help just email me. I just got married in June and had gorgeous things for so much cheaper than those wedding websites offer them at. And I have great sources too.

the coffee colour and duck egg blue are stunning, and so pretty together. I also love velvet in a really dark storm cloud grey with bright pink flowers, or on a softer note maybe apricot coloured roses? Other unusual colours are apple green with ivory, cornflower blue and yellow or midnight blue and orange flowers, I know you said no orange but the contrast is really pretty. I don't think you should have to stick with seasonal colours, especially if the autumn colours are not your favourites.

What about tan and white, or tan and chocolate? The other colors of fall are pretty much ruled out in your dislikes of colors. =) Lavender is a pretty color but not really fall, that is more spring, but if you want it, it is your wedding. Maybe you could do that and have your bridesmaids wear a pretty tan color dress. Congratulations and good luck!! PS-go to http://www.theknot.com it may be able to help you with some choices....have fun planning!

congrats on the wedding. i'm also getting married in the fall and while i like the oranges and reds, i ran across a website where a woman was using dark brown, robin's egg blue, and light salmon together. it sounded pretty and you'd get to incorporate some pinkish colors as well. good luck!

First, Congrats. I would love a fall wedding, but getting married in the summer.

But, I have been IN a lot of weddings, and the colors I have seen and wore, are:
Fushia (Dark Pink),, with pink and fushia flowers,
Dark Blue and Pink Flowers and Blue Ribbons
Winter White, with a mixture of grayish lavender (Lavender flowers)
Black and White, White Flowers with black ribbons
Deep Purple and Dark Blue, mixture of colors of flowers
Basically, anything with dark colors. Fall usually deal with nature's colors, as you said you don't care for, as I don't either. I am getting married in the Summer, and this is my second wedding, and I am wearing a T Length Dress, Cream, irredescent purple and blues ( As my second engagement ring is like blue and purple Tanzanite and Diamonds). And my Brides maids will be in lavender gowns, with different flowers of the summer, to match our the gowns, and that every table to have a certain type of flower, like a table of roses, table of Lillies, etc., and give out, as wedding Thank You's, a candle, with our names and date and Thank you, with the scent of the flower table they are sitting in and a small packet of seeds of flowers to plant in memory of my parents and siblings, that all died in less than six months, two years ago, when I was supposed to get married.

But, any Dark Colors, ones that look good, if you wear it, as you will be the center of attention, and with those colors around you, you will really, really, stand out more, as the colors will help enhance the colors of your face. As, think of the colors you wear on your eyes, when you go out, and what enhances them. There are so many ways, but it all comes down to you, and I hoped I helped you to figure out the type, as I know I want my different, as every bride, and you will!

Must tell us what you decide!

Hugs

What about a really nice gold? Or burgundy.. is that too close to red?

Light blue and chocolate would be nice, it's the biggest colour combo I've seen in the stores lately.

How about using a magenta pink (a darker pink) or that lavender and pair that with gold, chocolate, or both.

You could also do wine (dark, dark, reddish purple) and gold. That's a really pretty color combo.

I am really drawing a blank.

I hope this helps!

how about dusty rose and champagne..that is an off white and goes with everything.. that way you won't have you pink but, a shade of it and a pretty soft color to go with it. Good Luck and congrats!

My sister is getting married in October and she or he's matching up the David's Bridal easy crimson with their shade referred to as Latte, that's a easy brown/tan. the colors seem impressive mutually. Ther different shade that could coordinate properly is their "chocolate" it seems stable on maximum human beings and is amazingly stylish finding interior the superb layout. the thought-approximately crimson and brown mutually would not sound beautiful yet once you notice it that's totally advantageous. i might reccomend taking your ladies over to david's and in simple terms have them attempt on each shade, you ought to even have some in crimson and a few in brown or have the bridesmaids in brown and your flower female/junior bridesmaids in crimson. The possiblities are countless! It leaves you quite open on choosing flora too! Congrats and stable luck!
