Actually, you can. I had Norton antivirus installed. THen i used add/ remove program to remove NAV 2006 from appearing in the control panel. BTW, certain program are part of the OS, which you cannot remove. I find Microsoft defender is a good program to remove the programs that are added by spywear which are not easily removable with add/remove functionality of the control panel.

What are you trying to uninstall? If you mean uninstalling using the Add/Remove Programs applet, the uninstall information may have been deleted, or the program may have been uninstalled already but the Add/Remove entry wasn't removed.

maybe beacuse the uninstall file is deleted... you can try to go to the main folder of the file and delete the entire folder of the file you want to delete if you want to
