Incest.

Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

You think God worked along? God has an orgianzation, with billions of angels. There was also Satan who is buddies with God. Rivals, but Buddies.

Some of the people with God took Adam and Eve's daughters.

There was also some inbreeding and the Bible even talks about it here and there.

Part of the cleansing process was getting rid of the bad sector of what man was propegating.

Hey scientists, where did all the first Human Erectuses come from?

You telling me one Monday they were dunderheads and on Tuesday thre were magically 2,000 of them who could suddenly speak and they ONLY mated withing their own speaking race?!

Tribal cultures eventually inbreed.

Therefore a lot of Africa and both Americas natural inhabitants have, at one point in time or another, mated with 2nd cousins or maybe even first cousins or other relatives on a more distant scale.

A closed tirbal village. Say, 500 people. Say 1,000 people. No outsiders. Now, who does that village MATE with in 200 years!

Do the math

Eventually a brothers great grand kids are doing his sister's great grand kids because there is no other influx in population.

Distance it enough and mix in enough other blood lines and inbreeding causes no problems.

It's only when families mate for 500 years like some Royals did that problems like HEmophila crop up.

No matter HOW you look at it, scentifically or religiously, EARLY MAN was in small groups.

How MANY peopel can you fit into a cave and have then ALL be in there ALL winter long without running water or toilets!

You telling me CAVEMEN had a big gene pool!

There were NO cities until well after the "ages" of things like Iron and Bronze.

Then we started getting towns so large that no one knew everyone else.

LEt's get real. HOW many PILGRMS came over! How many were on that Mayflower!

Big Gene pool?

Some of them were already families -- brother, sisters, cousins.

Big Gene pool.

YOu guy go start a village with 200 people and see how long things go on before "relatives" have to do relatives

Try telling ONE guy, gee, I'm sorry EVERY girl is related to you, hence you're NOT allowed to ever have sex.

Try telling that to a guy!

When you find one of these lost tribes in South America, how much inbreeding is there?

And if a few of them go into civilization, that take taht gene pool with them.

You know that is why the world is like it is today. All the interbreeding that has gone on since the start of time has made a few people loopy.

I don't believe in all that Adam and Eve stuff and that is exactly why I don't follow any religion because no one knows how it all happened for sure.

Adam and Eve had sons and daughters(Genesis 5:4) Only three sons are mentioned though and they were Cain,Abel and Seth.
How then, did the earth become populated? It was obviously due to inter-marriage between Adam and Eve's children..“But such unions are incest!” some may object,It must be remembered, however, that circumstances were different in earlier times. Adam and Eve were created perfect, and the instruction for them ‘to multiply and fill the earth’ would necessarily require that their offspring marry one another and reproduce. (Gen. 1:28) But as perfect humans, their children would have been perfect as were their parents.
Even though Adam and Eve sinned and became imperfect, their children were still so near to physical perfection they did not suffer the same adverse effects as do children born of such unions today. Even some 2,000 years afterward, God’s faithful servant Abraham married his half-sister Sarah, and God did not disapprove. (Gen. 20:12) It was yet another 450 years or so before God saw fit to provide his nation of Israel a body of laws that forbade incest on penalty of death. (Lev. 18:8-17) By that time imperfection had apparently developed to such an extent that no longer was it safe for close relatives to marry. Today, God's law forbidding incest is still one Christians are to obey.
The answer is provided right within the Bible, and it becomes obvious when the Bible reader uses discernment.

Are you that dense? Firstly, Adam and Eve are a myth. Secondly, if they were the only people on earth, their children had to marry each other. Get over it.

Well you see this is a story, so really the bible is saying he created men first, and then women. He probably made say, ten men, and he called the men Adam, then the men needed women, so He created ten women, and he called them Eve. I think the bible was trying to put it in simpler terms so that the people around 2000 years ago would understand - we have progressed a little.

You're not supposed to ask things like that! They didn't do anything as worldly as sex, Cain 'knew' his wife!

Come to think of it, when Cain was cursed, he moaned that wherever he went, people would persecute him. What people?? He'd just killed the only other bloke apart from his dad!
