Some of these people have no idea what they are talking about. There is no difference between the sun and tannin indoors! I am 8 weeks pregnant and I own a tanning salon and I am still tanning. Yes, it is true you risk overheating, but being outside when its 80 degrees for 20 minutes makes a person sweat! I don't go all 10 minutes if I start to get hot, but I have never had an internal body temp increase to 104 degrees (which is where the danger zone is for you and the fetus). I hope all this helps.

Never. do not take such a risk.

"Some researchers believe the production of vitamin D caused by exposure to UVB may be beneficial to both the mother and fetus. However, there is concern that the heat buildup which inevitably occurs when tanning indoors or outdoors may adversely affect some pregnant women just as a sauna or jacuzzi might. Furthermore, for liability reasons, it is recommended that pregnant women consult their physician before tanning indoors or outdoors.

you should not. Being in heat over 100 degrees causes fetal development issues, ESPECIALLY in the first trimester when curcial organs might not devlop because of it.

As someone who tans, and who has been pregnant, dont do it. You dont realize how hot your insides get under those lamps.

Just wait until you know. A couple weeks wont make a difference in your color.

You should definately stay out of the tanning beds. If you are tanning in the out of doors, then you need to keep your stomach covered by a towel or a bathing suit. Always use sunscreen and try to keep your tanning to a minimum.

Definitely not in a tanning bed, you should not be getting overheated while you are pregnant you are at more risk for complications and it's bad for you and baby.

You can lay out in the sun, but stay away from the tanning bed. It is very harmful to a fetus. It radiation just like x-rays.
