It is a work of fiction. This book discredits christianity all of christianity, but in particular it pokes fun at the catholic church. It makes all christian look like they are naive for holding many of the truths that faith is based on, namely that Jesus was celibate and had no kids, that the bible is false and I can go on and on. If you are christian, I would not purchase the book and put more money into the pocket of Dan Brown. If you must read the book or see the movie - get them for free through a friend or library.

You mean the Da Vinci Delusion? LOL It's just a fiction book with a few sprinkles of Biblical reference. I thought it was hypocritical that a Big Wig Scientologist, (non-christian) Tom Hanks was the lead male character.

It is a novel, nothing more, nothing less.
It takes a little bit of the truth and mixes it up with a vivid imagniation and comes up with a a book and a movie.
Even if I had all the time in the world to read it or watch it I still would have too many things to read and do that are higher on my priority list.

I watched it again last night, in fact.
I read the book, and feel the book is much better than the film. I think for a work of fiction, this is an accurate enough concept for anyone who wishes to research the material, they will find truth in the seeking.
It is not far-fetched that whoever controls the church, will control the world. And how better to control the world, than to say, "You're only path to a Deity is through us????"

If you have made up your mind, then don't go see it. Read the book, the movie is quite close to that. It's a great piece of fiction. Remember that. It's nothing else, it does not propose anything...it's a "what if" story. Grow up.

It is really going to confuse the thin bits of knowledge arm-chair Christians have of Christianity.

If you're going to go into the movie with a religious or theological predisposition to find holes in it, don't go. Its ART, dude, not philosophy! Its fiction, get it?
(BTW, its blasphemous, not blastphemus)

It looks like a over-hyped book and movie. To much dramatization.

I think the DaVinci code is totally fake! I can't really put why on the computer because I don't like typing alot so I'll just say it's fiction just like Dan Brown said it was when he wrote it.
