In fact, history demonstrated this so clearly in the last century. We had several major countries that finally managed to abolish all religion and live in total peace and harmony: East Germany, Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea, North Vietnam. There was not a war or a dispute among their people. Total peace and harmony. (If you just overlook that little matter of over 180 million people murdered by those atheist governments - more that all the "religious" war in the entire rest of history. But we won't count those. Not to mention the prisons, exiles, tortures, poverty, starvations, etc. But whats a few Hundred million incidences like that. Hardly worth mentioning.)

My opinion is that nothing is important than God. Religions have prove useless. The objects of religion makers are not working. The object of religion makers was that people should love each other and stay with peace and harmony. But now a day we see that due to extreme religious thoughts peoples are fighting, hating and abusing to God and Religion of each other’s.
I think it will better if people will give more importance to God and his teachings than the religion.
Spiritual peoples are engages in meditation, worshiping of God and doing good work, good deeds. So you are absolutely right that if there is no religion then people will stay more united in peace and harmony compare to now they are.

Since no religion is a religion in itself, I think what you're meaning is if everyone had the same religion, would the world be at peace. It's never gonna happen. There'll always be a disagreement about something on earth. Might as well get used to it.

No. It has little to do with religion.

It has a lot to do with things like BELIEF SYSTEMS (communists, unless you are calling that a religion, which it could be, make revolution or civil war as a tool) and coveting.

It's about oil, food, land, agricuture.

It's about resources.

WWII was all about land. It was about GErmany Recapturing the Rine area, Frace, Austria and then going after the rest of the area.

Unless you're calling Nazism a religion!

What religion was Ghengis Khan!

What religion was the cold war about, Communism!

Because they won't be indoctrinated by any forms of other peoples thoughts. Religion does not allow anyone to think for themselves, it is so restrictive. You only have to cast your mind back to the time the last Pope told the aids capitol of Africa that they shouldn't use condoms. What !!! The world would be a much safer place if there were no religions, because there would be no one-upmanship between us and we could see each other as we are, merely human beings............

Yes, I agree. I believe that GOD spoke to many people who ended up writing down what he was told. I mean , you've got the religion of Moses, which I really don't know whether it ended up being Christianity, Islam, Judaism, or WHAT!!!! But whether you are Muslim, Christian, or Jewish you have the Ten Commandments!!! So what other rules should you follow? Each of these religions believe in GOD!!! ALLAH!!! YAWEH!!! ALL THE SAME GOD!!! Let's take teachings from each and live under GOD!!!

Religion is not all bad. War normally start because of the desire for power or money. It is ego that causes war. Let go of you ego and desires and there will be world peace. Religion mixed together with ego, money and the desire to be 'right' causes the worst wars known to man kind. They are caled holy wars.

There will never be peace in this world without God. The reason this world is in the shape it is in right now is because people will not listen to God's words, and follow the one commandment that Jesus gave....to love one another. Thank-you for reading.

What if in the beginning someone said "Love is love" rather than "god is love", would that have made a difference? or perhaps whatever happened there would still be conflict as people are never happy with what they have, they would just find something new to fight over.
