No. Illegal aliens should not even be here. They broke the law and should be sent home. They can apply for a visa if they want to come into the USA, just like everyone else.
Illegal aliens have no respect for the laws of this country. They came here illegally. They drive without a license or insurance. They don't pay taxes. Send them packing!

After we get some sort of handle on the problem going forward and can target all of the bad sort, there will be a decision made about what to do with those here.
That completely aside, it is worse than incongruous to give a 'legal' license to drive to someone illegally present. In fact, it seems against public policy to me. There is a huge disconnect between the fact that our laws are in place for good reason and the benefits being allowed illegals 'because they are already here'. There is a whole network of benefits for them that acts as at least as much of a magnet as employment does. In fact we hear over and over again how people left 'better' jobs to work at manual jobs here to have their kids in our schools, etc.
I think the whole benefits magnet needs to be abolished. Where necessary, we can give benefits, such as emergency medical, then deport the people when they have stabalized. It isn't 'cruel' to enforce the laws they broke.
We really need to fix the problem going forward, and I see no way to do that with more of these programs being put into place every day.

I think the answer is an obvious NO... why give them privileges when they are coming to our country ILLEGALLY. I live in Arizona and the amount of illegals on the road causing accidents and then having no insurance is disgusting. All I can say is even if we didn't grant them a license to drive, they still are going to anyways because they OBVIOUSLY have no regard for the laws in this country . Even more, if we don't then we give them a license absolutely no way to pay for insurance (like they would anyways, right?)... It's a catch 22. No way to solve it.

First you have to get your terminology correct.
So as not to offend the "illegals" they were officially re-named "undocumented workers". They used to be called "wet-backs" but that was too offensive to the liberal left and "Latinos" of this country. Also it didn't fit with all those who didn't swim the Rio Grand river. So, more inoffensive terms were instituted by the politicians and press.
Also, if you don't use the term "illegal" in the name, it makes it easier to give them benefits, such as indigent medical care. welfare, education and legal aid as well as drivers licenses.
Should they have a US drivers license? Hell no! Most of them couldn't get one in their own country!! Further, it is a license to kill on our highways. A very high percentage of hit and run accidents are caused by "undocumented workers". They could care less about the damage or death they cause because most likely their "punishment" will be deportation back to their native country. Let's not even get into the condition of the car these people will buy and drive.

It would not supply up them from making use of, they proceed to realize this, or get themselves a pretend license to apply for identity purposes. there is been greater then adequate memories interior the information approximately them killing human beings on a similar time as they are making use of inebriated or in spite of. i assume the variety you placed it, that's smart to a factor, there is not any "incentive" for them to notcontinual-because of the fact they are right here criminally/illegally besides, so what's the version if theycontinual illegally to boot? in spite of if, in case you're insinuating giving them a license, i do no longer accept as true with that. that's totally almost like worthwhile them for their criminal strikes. And, i in my view do no longer think of that would supply them an incentive to purchase coverage the two. Plus, in spite of in case you probably did grant them the privledge of having a license, i think of they had be too scared to circulate in and get the actual license, for worry of being deported, which they could desire to be..... yet that's an entire different subject count :)

Yes because either way they are driving. If they had a license at least they would be in the system and if they let's say did a hit and run, next time they were pulled over they could be checked out instead of giving the cops a fake name and running free.Who knows maybe through a license they could be identified easily for let's say not paying parking tickets and once they are sent to court they could be found out as being illegal and be sent back to their country or origin.

No they should not because if you do it for one then you will have to do it for all.. And i think illegal persons should be punish or deported back to their homes.. But I've notice that the more illegal persons you send back the more they come... So i think the Government and his/her colleagues should come to an agreement that ALL illegal persons should be given the rights to work with less pay reason being is because i don't think u can stop them from coming so the best thing to do is have them work.

No they should not be given a drivers license.
The word illegal should trigger a red flag. I do feel sorry for the ones who want to come here to make a better life for their families & it must be difficult to do it legal. Lets face it we all want the best for our loved ones. I'm from an area where their are alot of mexican people that do hard farm labor that others refuse to do. I always wish the best for them, but we do need to find a better way.

I went to get my driving license in Texas and I had to produce ID,social security card, proof of insurance and my car's title, the person next to me,an illegal in the US produced a name that could not be verified if it was his own,a name from an insurance in mexico that probably don't exsist, and a title from mexico that also could not be verified as real,My point is he had a better chance of getting the driving license with his documents from mexico than I did with mine because his documents are not even questioned while mine have to be perfect.

No they should not. I have to produce 2 forms of ID to get my license as a US citizen. One being a birth certificate the other a photo ID. I think that It should be law that if you do not have proof of legal residence in the US you should be denied a license to drive here.
