I am due some holiday and it would be ok to take some after October 12th. Let's say 2 weeks. I can go to sunnier parts of Europe or North Africa relatively cheaply. I don't want to spend all that much. Any clever ideas, so cunning you could attach whiskers and a tail and call them a weasel, that you are prepared to offer me?

Went to Croatia (island of Hvar) about that time last year - gorgeous! Still fairly warm too.
If you're after something away from the 'Brits Abroad' destinations, it's perfect. And still relatively cheap.

i recently went backpacking around eastern europe for a month which was great and really really cheap. my fave place was dubrovnik in croatia. its beautiful and warmer than it is here although im not sure how the climate is in october but i went in feb and had some gorgeous weather. there is also a good night life and an awful lot of views to take in. you can even get a boat out to some remote but beautiful islands.

Well depends if you want beach or culture. I would recommend Bulgaria that has a bit of both and is mega cheap. Or Italy, head down to Sorrento, you can visit Capri and Pompeii also. Weather in Italy is fab at that time, still very hot, not sure about Bulgaria but Im sure it will be warm still. Both cheap and lovely destinations and not too far to travel.

Right. Mid/ late October, still sunny in Turkey (Bodrum, Antalya, Dalaman), maximum temp about 25C.
Croatia/ Montenegro, still about 25C
Tunisia (Monastir) - cheap, temp in 20sC
Cyprus (Paphos) - not very cheap though
The Canaries are always warm, but for a cheap deal try searching on Thomas Cook website or Thomson Holidays.

Turkey is cheap at the moment. Weather in october is like a nice summer here.

you're for sure no longer the sharpest gadget interior the field - it states for sure that the %. is composed of "10 English posters, 2 bags tags, 2 wallet enjoying cards a million automobile decal" and the accompanying photos shows that the posters are 'lacking' posters for Madeleine McCann. The greek islands are very nice, still warm, not expensive, very safe, and the people are lovely. Crete is good, large island, plenty to do. You can walk the Samaria gorge if you are fit and feel energetic!

Try Egypt - cheap as chips and guaranteed sunshine and heat all year round - don't forget the factor 20!

The perfect vacation is always a cruise. You have your food, hotel, travel to different ports,and entertaiment all for one price. Last minute deal are really cheap too.
