God is all powerful, He is able to take away our right of choice within a second!!! But He loves us so much, He shows us mercy by giving us time to do right and choose Him. Do you understand?

I certainly wouldn't limit God to this particular characteristic, but yes... I believe that is an accurate statement. God is a God of laws, all of creation revolves aroiund them from physical laws like Gravity to spiritual laws of obedience. As with any law, it is only as good as the authority behind it and the assurances of the consequences for breaking the law. Fortunately we have a merciful god would has provided a path of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

You are trying to understand God on a human level. While it would be impossible for 'all-powerful' and 'all-merciful' to co-exist in a human being, it is not impossible for God.

Without trying to sound condescending, your "god" is too small, too finite.

The God of the Bible is infinite; is way bigger than even we can comprehend. "With God all things are possible."

I do not see why the two have to be mutually exclusive. Maybe he has all powerful forgiveness and mercy if you are truly deserving. And then again maybe he has non merciful all power when you have pushed him too far. Every has a snapping point you know.

Why can't he be all merciful. God's main hope for us is happiness and eternal life in His love. We punish ourselves through our choices, make bad choices and the consequence at some point is going to be bad. God will judge us, but where we go is all about the choices we've made, we control our destinies.

why not? why can't i have my cake and eat it too? if one can't be all merciful, one can't possibly be all powerful, yeah?

we shouldn't be equating powers with not able to be merciful.
