Because they really do not have faith, so they have to impose things on others to fill their emptiness

Pure ego.
They get born again and them they feel that they have to "minister" unto people.
Its brownie points with God.
After a lifetime of drinking druggin whoring robbing stealing lying and cheating they are forgiven of all thier crimes.
Until they backslide.
But then they can be born again.
Until they backslide again.
And then they can be born again.
They are very consistent.
Worst crew I ever served with in USCG was topheavy with born agains.
They tend to be rats.
Cause it's brownie point with God.
