Dress codes. Many departments in the US government still have them. Reminds me of what the US Sky Marshals just went through. They had to wear civilian clothes while flying in aircraft but it had to meet their departmental dress code. The Sky Marshals complained about this because everyone knew who they were even though they were supposedly flying covert. They finally got the rules changed though it took a long time.

where did you get this idea from don't you watch CNN and how they are dressed very casual that was under the old director Hoover crew cuts gov license plated pin striped suits and black ties

They wear other ties..lol Alot of business ppl wear black ties too. Mormon missionaries wear them too. Everyday.
