My grandson had his room painted with one wall (mural) a year ago. He'll soon be 4 and still loves it. We live in a rural area so his has a scene with farm fields and a tractor with a farmer on it...some water for a pond...a barn....coming up the road are trucks and his ceiling is blue with clouds. Very colorful and all boy!! I think in the long run its much better than stickers.

Go with the paint, when stickers are left on the wall to long they can become a bear to get off,,paint the walls how you want them then in a few years when you are tired of it, paint over with a couple layers of kilz then paint..you will probably regret the stickers in the long run,,stickers are worse then wall paper when removing

I'd use the stickers...cause in a few years he may NOT want the cartoons on his walls...if the stickers are easily removable..I'd go with them..my son is 5 and when I asked him WHAT he wanted on his walls...he changed his mind 8 times before we said FORGET IT! We told him that his walls would have the things he wanted on them there...for a LONG time...and he had to be sure...so his walls remain white now...with blue trim.

DO NOT USE STICKERS!!!! They are unbelievably difficult to remove--usually damages the wallboard and you end up with a lot of repair work. Why not look for a prepasted wall paper border--and remember, you can also hang it a chair rail level so he can see it--maybe pick up a color from the border and paint the wall beneath the border that color. Or look into stencils--they are fun to do. Go online and you can find almost anything. Later, you can paint white primer over them and repaint easily.

you could paint the room a nice color you think he would like and accent with the stickers, if you do cartoons and he grows out of them, then you have to change again at some point!

Yes you can do that, he is 4 only.
By the way tell you some jokes, and the jokes goes:
-Doctor! I have a serious problem, I can never remember what i just said.
-When did you first notice this problem?
-What problem?
One more joke:
A guy calls his vet and says "What should I do with my cat?Vet says "What do you mean? Guy says "I had a leak in my lawnmowers gas tank and the cat drank the gas. Then the cat began to run around and around the yard, climbed a tree. then fell out of the tree stiff. Vet says "Is the cat dead? Guy replies "nope he ran out of gas.
Last of all just want to tell you that whatever you do, just don't give up. Also you must love and care for the people around you. In that way they will also show you the love that you show to them. Just be yourself and happy everyday. Wish you all the best and good luck!!

sure, i actually supervised my kids and let them do "hand prints" i just let them dip their hands in differant colored paint and let them make impressions. they had great fun. we also once took reg. dinner plates, held them against the wall and traced them, then painted them yellow. when the paint dried, we then took permanant (sharpies) markers and made differant smileys :) was so cool finished
