Absolutely. Mormons are just the new kid on the block and as we all know history repeats. At least the Mormons walk their talk. They are such a likable lot!

The Word of God has been the inspired writings of over 40 different people, beginning 4,000 years ago. Moses wrote the first books, then Joshua, etc.
The Jews are dedicated to pass these stories down. It is vital to their existence. The Old Testament scrolls were in existence since Moses.
There is historical proof that these stories are true.
The prophesies given in the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and so on have mostly come true: one big one -- the re establishing of the Country of Israel.
Did you know that the war right now between Israel and Palestine was prophesized in the book of Ezekiel? Did you know that terrorism was prophesized? That one is in Psalms. It talks about taking innocent people off the streets. It was prophesized that all nations will be against Israel in the last days...sounds like that is happening right now, doesn't it?
Mormonism doesn't have that historical prophetic truth.
As an athiest, you want proof. Well, read the Bible. You will get your proof there.

I see someone has once again said that if you don't believe in the Trinity then you're in a cult. Look up the word cult in a dictionary and you will see that all religions fall under the category of cult and it mentions nothing about the Trinity. Anyways there are actually more Mormons outside of the US then in the US. There are over 12 million members in the church today. It's one of the fastest growing religons today so in 100 years I dont know if all the lies will be still beleived. With all the lies constantly being made up about the church I can't even keep up. I dont know why other Christians like to bash my religion and I really don't care. If you believe everything that you are told about my church by people who are not members of my church, then you must not be very smart. I don't go to a skinhead to learn about the history of the Jews. (This is not directed at you Jersey)

I am OK with people and their religious beliefs if they adhere to those tenets they claim. A group of Mormons cleared my yard of fallen trees after Katrina so I could get my car out to the street, at no charge. Mormons are alright by me.
As to whether there will be arguments in the future about Joseph Smith I really don't care.

Your question was interesting... in fact I was reading carefully because I thought you were curious about religions, culture, etc.
But, all of a sudden... "you´re all a bit nuts about this religion stuff"?
I do not follow any religion either but I show respect to other´s opinions and beliefs.
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO INSULT PEOPLE AND QUESTION THEM BECAUSE OF THEIR FAITH?
