I was wondering if I can buy a lens that will give me non-blurry up close tight shots without blurring the photo? Can you even get lenses for Point and Shoot cameras as opposed to SLR cameras? I've been told that you can't put new lenses on my camera but there's an option on my camera for "lenses". I'm confused. Everytime I try to zoom in close on my 6 month old son, it blurs. It gets very frustrating.

Any help for me? If you can get lenses, where can I get them? If not, why does my camera have an option for lenses under the menu options?

With a lot of point & shoot cameras you can get up to three kinds of attachment lenses:
* wide angle extenders
* tele-extenders
* macro adaptors (this is the one you're thinking of getting)
The thing is, you shouldn't need any of those add-ons to take shots of your baby. If you're getting so close that the camera can't focus by itself, you're TOO close for portraits! Macro lenses are made to take pictures of tiny objects, like flowers and jewelery. If you used it as a portrait lens, the picture would come out terribly distorted. Instead, use the normal lens and keep a few feet distance. Zoom in if you want to.
