GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourshair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results

Yeah, i'm a hair dresser and this is what i have found that works the best. Vitamin H (biotin) and daily vitamin such as centrum and go to a salon and buy the complete regimine of Nioxin, it is a bit expensive maybe $40-$50 to get started then after that you will oly need to restock what you run out of. Make sure you get the spray that you use on your scalp before you blowdry because that will stimulate your hair follicles which is what makes your hair grow and remove the bacteria that clogs hair follicles. Nioxin is kind of expensive but i guarentee you will see results after about 2-3 weeks and dont stopthe regimeine keep it going. You will be much happier withyour hair.

Go natural!

Don't use harsh shampoos or gel...brush your hair often with a boar bristle brush...I even use Dollar store products that really help, like natural chamomile shampoo and thick green hair-growth-quickener (like I need it LOL my mom actually gave it to me). Rub in some olive oil before you wash it each night, just be sure to scrub it out! I even tried mixing an egg with something...I think it was olive/vegetable oil. Pour it on your head inside the shower, let it sit than scrub it all out!

Oh, and the most important thing - DON'T blowdry your hair, whatever you do. It does the most awful things to your hair follicles, and weakens the hair roots.

I quit blowdrying and went natural (brushing, air drying, natural shampoos) about a year ago. My hair's already past my waist, has a healthy chocolate golden color, and is really thick, shiny and wavy at times!

Hope this helps.

First you need to use a shampoo and conditoner with extra moisturizers and to promote hair growth you need to message your scalp at least twice a week with a great hair oil to stimulate the hair follicles. I use Mane 'n Tail haircare products. Their products work great. I have seen improvement ever since.
