No, you definitely don't always have to use it. I used the clicker (which I think is a great tool) when I first got 2 of my greyhounds. I used it mainly to get them to look at me when I said "watch me". I only used it for a couple of weeks and now, 6 years later, both of them respond instantly when I say watch me.
It's just to get them started learning whatever it is you're teaching with the clicker, then they'll work without it and without treats too - they work for nothing more than praise.

The "clicker" can help keep your dogs attention, but it is not necessary in training a dog. I think that clicker training can even confuse dogs if not used properly.
I have seen this technique used and it can be very successful with the proper guidance to the owner. Also, the dog can become less "clicker" dependent as time passes and you can eventually stop using it.
The most important thing you can do during training is remain persistent and consistent!
Good Luck and Take Care

No, once the clicker training is compleate you should be able to give simple spoken instructions to the dog for it follow. I have a deaf Dal that I 'clicker' trained with a flashlight and hand signs. Now, all I need to do is give the hand sign.

No. You usually move from the clicker to a voice marker (such as the word "Yes"). However, this is a method of training that requires good timing and is best learned from an experience trainer. The good news is that even if you mess up, you haven't harmed your dog in any way.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aNNY9
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

No you wont
But the key to "marker' training is consistency, just be aware that marker training takes a tad longer than conventional training, so be patient

clicker training is often done in combination with other rewards.. soft treats, praise, pat on the head.. eventually you stop clicking all the time and switch to other rewards and most importantly sometimes you dont reward at all....
