If this is in America, I don't know any girls that would want to wear a mum. They're kind of large. A nice wrist corsage (sp?) with a few small roses is always nice. And I mean SMALL. No girl likes to go to the dance dragging a big-A$$ bouquet on her arm.
Call your local florist and just say "I need help picking out an appropriate corsage for my _____________girlfriend, daughter, sister, friend...whomever you're buying the corsage for.
Have fun!

Usuallly at least $25 for a very basic one to $100+. If you know someone with a little craft skills, it is way cheaper to make one. All it takes is a glue gun, a stapler, and supplies from a craft store such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Plus they look much nicer when you customize them.
