Thomas, you have done the right thing so far! Being concerned about being a good husband! I think it is terrific of you to worry. I have been married 26 years, and so I have some suggestions...

listen to her with your heart not your head
pick up the dirty underwear off the floor
give her a hug just because
date her, romance her
call her out of the blue, and say I love you
wash the dishs some nights
some days bring her something home, even if it's a special drink she likes (my husband brings me a Dr. Pepper)
tell her thank you and your welcome
do your share of the household chores without being told too!
share your thoughts and concerns with her
discuss your days together
Make her #1!!!!!! in your life
love, honor, and cherish her!

Thomas, the most important thing is respect her, and love her. Treat her and love her like you want her to love and treat you. So, if you don't want her to do something, then don't you do it!
Make time for her everyday, show her love in small ways, treasure her, and she will treasure you. You don't have too do something special everyday, but spending time is a must. As I said before, you are right on the money, concern! I wish you and your wife the best and happiest of years of being together!

God bless us all...................

1. Patience, don't be quick to get annoyed. Take the long view into consideration. Before you speak up about something, think to yourself "Will this matter in 5 years?"

2. Empathy, Try to put yourself in the other person's shoes. Not just how *you* would feel if something happened to you... How *they* feel in a situation. Plus, you don't have to "agree" to understand.

3. Listen, without trying to solve. A lot of times the person just needs to talk something through. By listening you *are* helping. If you are confused, even ask "Do you just want me to listen? Or are you asking for my advice...?"

4. Love them for who they are now, not the potential they have to be. Enjoy the journey, don't wait for a goal that may never come. Become a person who enjoys "smelling the roses". Enjoy the little things in life. Since life is made up of so many small moments.

Good luck.

well a good husband is the person who understands the wife really good and does everything to make a happy. Make her wishes come true and show her she means alot and care about her and somestimes go and pick her from her work or ......and do surprice her sometimes its doesnt mean a big expensive gifts but something small what she like it. Give her the freedom and tell her you trust her alot.

The only way to be a good husband is to realize that if she's not happy, you're not happy. Be a partner to her, communicate, let her be the partner to you, be faithful, and you should be just fine.
