Formula? I hope he's still not on formula. You should get him away from the bottle before he develops bottle rot.
Our pediatrician said whole milk up to 2 years of age, then 2%, skim, or whatever we want to buy is good enough after that.

At age 2 and a half he should NOT be on formula anymore. You should have been giving him Whole milk since he was 1 year old.

My daughter was off of the bottle at 16 months, I slowly started giving her whole milk in a cup instead of formula in the bottle.

Whole milk is recommended for up to age 2, after that 1 percent or skim milk is suggested. However, I would consult with your child's doctor to see what you should be giving him.

Well, most American children are weaned from the bottle by this age and already drinking from cups. I would ask a doctor about what milk/formula to give him. I would be worried about allergies and being lactose intolerant.

For a 2.5 child, I think it would be okay to give him 2% milk. You can get this at the dairy aisle of the supermarket. Better yet, give him organic milk.

after 1 year old doctors tell you that you can use regular milk. they suggest to use whole milk because it has all the nutrients that your child needs. take that bottle away also. he needs to learn to use a regular cup.
