He probably just wants to be friends. How is time running out?
Who cares if he leaves his job? You still have his email so it's not like you'll be cutting off all communications

I was in the same situation you are currently in last year, although mine was in college not in a work situation. We started off as friends, which is what it sounds like you are doing with this guy, then about 2 weeks before the semester ended asked me out, I was thrilled, but also at the same time I was devastated because the guy I was interested just asked me out and he was moving away after the semester, I didn't know what to do, so I just enjoyed the final 2 weeks and if we were meant to be together then the distance wouldn't matter. But to make a long story short, we are still together, so you don't know what's going to happen until you try something, try hinting that you like him and see what happens, or ask him out for dinner as a friend and see what happens, he might surprise you and tell you that he likes you too.
Good Luck.

Tell him you want to go out for coffee or something. However, if I were you I would keep my eyes open...Are you sure he isn't currently involved, why does he only email? Do you guys very talk on the phone?
Ask him to go out and see how he reacts, you can get a feeling whats going on from that.

tell him how you feel, you only live ounces. You will never know if dont ask. and may he is waiting for you to make the first move. If he say he is not interested at lease you do nt have to see him every day. But I think you would be very disappointed if you dont aleast try to find out.

Add a line to your next email. "How are we going to continue writing each other when you aren't working here anymore"? And see what he says.
