If they commit a second crime within two years then they will have to serve the sentences for both the first and second crimes.

When you are cahrged with a crime and you plead guilty or are found guilty you recieve a sentence which is the amount of time you serve for the punishment.
A judge can suspend your sentence which means you are still guilty but will serve no jail time as long as you meet the terms of your probation.
If you do not meet the terms or commit another crime the judge can revoke your probation and you will have to serve the amount of time that you got in the beginning.

The suspended sentence means just that, it is suspended. If the sentence of the court is 2 yrs suspended then, you can not break the law for 2 yrs. If on the other hand you do break the law in anyway, then you are taken back to court and the sentence of 2 yrs in prison is passed.

It means that the active portion has been set aside.
Set aside for two years like probation-but failure to meet stipulations set by Judge means sentence (punishment) can be
made active . Go to prison or Jail, make restitution-depedent upon what punishment/sentence was given.

It means that jail time is suspended until the criminal is arrested for something else. When they are arrested for something else within the two years then they have to serve the jail time from the first offense without additional court appearances.

It means they got a two year prison sentence but it is suspended. Meaning: you are convicted and have a record but don't actually have to go into the prison.
Howver, one little f ck up and in you go.
