not nearly so many as at the turn of the 20th century. Surprisingly there are a great many farm tractor related accidents, many fatal, but we will skip that for now. In 1998 there were 2382 horse related accidents to youths.
In 1994 there were 800,000 reported injuries by dog bite. Interesting but not related to this question.
219 reports deaths annually from horse related accidents.
This study covering the period 2001 to 2002 estimates 102,904 injuries annually from horse related accidents. It seems rather high to me compared to the other study of youth injuries, but nevertheless. 11,502 people annual are reported to have suffered tramatic brain injury.
Heck, I knew horses were dangerous. I was thrown from one when I was a kid, but I did not suffer any injury other than to my pride.

I am sure there are more then we realize. I know that the Amish communities have had several high profile cases where a drunk driver has wiped out whole families in their carriages going to church.
This probably isn't what you were looking for

IDK, but 2 people a year are killed by bears, 10 by sharks, 12 by vending machines falling on them, and 100 by coconuts falling and hitting them on there heads. Funny, huh.
