Of course not. They were just a few of the American Heroes that fought for freedom (except Wayne, he did a good job showing us Americans what the heroes did for us). It is time for us to remember what this country has gone through to get where we are today. It is understandable that so many legal American citizens are upset with the illegal immigrants in this country. Most of us have ancestors that date back for generations that have died to protect the freedoms we take for granted each day. These illegal immigrants want to take advantage of our blood lose, our strength and our system, then turn around and insult us have no business being allowed to stay here. They drain they system, they insult our way of life and the fact we do not deal with them (due to political correctness) is becoming embarrassing. I am sure Houston, Crocket, Travis, Bowie along with Washington, Franklin, Jefferson and many, many more would be disappointed in what we have become. It is time we take care of Americans in America.

No, even though Davy Crocket and Sam Houston fought for Texas independance from Mexico, they still respected the Mexican Army, that is not racism.
As for John Wayne, he has nothing to do with the Alamo other than playing a role, portraying one of the people from the Alamo.

Next Attack Imminent: Muslims Ordered to Leave the US
Terrorism Hamid Mir, Dr. Paul L. Williams & David Dastych
September 19, 2006
Recently, Abu Dawood, one of the newly appointed commanders of the al
Qaeda forces in Afghanistan issued some disturbing statements. Dawood
stated: that final preparations have been made for the American
Hiroshima, a major attack on the US; said that Muslims living in the United
States should leave the country without further warning; indicated that the
attack will be commandeered by Adnan el Shukrijumah ("Jaffer Tayyer" or
"Jafer the Pilot"), a naturalized American citizen, who was raised in
Brooklyn and educated in southern Florida; that the al Qaeda operatives
who will launch this attack are awaiting final orders, that they remain
in place in cities throughout the country and that many are
masquerading as Christians and have adopted Christian names; that al Qaeda and the
Taliban will also launch a major strike (known as the ?Badar
Operation") against the coalition forces in Afghanistan during the holy month of
Ramadan; and that the American people probably will be treated to a
final audio message from Osama bin Laden which will be aired some time
later.

Your link has nothing to do with the Alamo its about the 10 most wanted fugitives in Texas.
To some Sam Houston and David Crockett were heros and freedom fighters.
To others they were considered invaders hoping to get lots of free land after they threw out the Mexicans..
John Wayne was an actor and if he was racist depends on a person's political view..

Sam Houston and Davey Crockett were hero's of the Alamo and should be respected for that.John Wayne was a racist and not a very good person in real life, and he should never be used as an example of America.

Rather than trying to relive the dimly remembered past, we should focus on the here-and-now...let's have the border fence finished, and worry about the History Channel later...

No they weren't. They were men who made a stand to help defend the few against the many. Except the Duke, he was an actor and an icon that represented many of the "hero" images that we are sometimes inspired by to do something irrational and perhaps crazy in the name of machismo.
