I've seen toys in the past that are meant to teach children how to buckle, snap, button, tie, zipper, etc. Now that I need/want one for my son, I can't find a decent looking one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Discovery Toys is a great company for those sorts of toys. I've already bought my daughter a similar toy, called the Dress-a-pillar. Here's a link to a picture of one being sold on Ebay-- http://cgi.ebay.com/Discovery-Toys-Dress-A-Pillar-Dressapillar-Educational_W0QQitemZ270026002735QQcmdZViewItem

The toy has the buckle, zipper, button, snap, shoelace and velcro all in one. Hope this helps!!

If that doesn't work for you, ToysRUs sells some great products--like big wooden shoe with laces for practicing, etc.

Fisher Price used to have a bear that had all of these things on it. If you have a ToysRUs nearby, then try them. You can also try their web site and search to see if its still available. Or maybe another toy company. Good Luck

I took my grandson to The bear factory, we made a bear, that he helped stuff(which is great fun) then he got to pick out different clothes and accessories. Alot of them have buttons, zippers and more. Just an idea.
