-Talk bunches of trash about how dangerous they're and how they would put me in hospital in one breath.

-back off try to claim they're a peaceful person who doesn't believe in fighting.

-claim they're too deadly to spar then beg to be let go.

-Try to get in their rigid stance even when they're getting hit/kicked repeatly

-start to throw wild haymaker and windmill punches

-found out their punches miss 90% of the time so they rush toward the opponent

-fall down after reciving few well place blows and lay there crying or unconsicous

-start to taunt the opponent from safe distance via email, through friend, etc... and tell the opponent that he/she got lucky and that next time they will really hurt the opponent

-run away every time they see the opponent or simply avoid the event that opponent will be at.

I have see this so MANY time and even experienced a several in gym or friendly spar outside of gym. I have hear all kind of crap about how people claim to be so dangerous only to

get their a$$ handed to them so easily.

Also what's the point in try to talk about how deadly they're if they end up try to claim they're a peaceful person? That's like as buy a machine gun and point it at someone and say "I can kill you right there but I am a peaceful person so I won't do it. So let me talk all sh!t and I will let you go home alive"

Also howcome they didn't even use what they lear in the gym? They have to resort on fighting like a cave man!

This never fail to amaze me and sadly I find it very amusing to watch this scene happening.

It provides them w/ a false sense of confidence. Since they question themselves on their own ability, they feel if they can convince someone else of what they're capable of, then maybe they'll believe it for themselves.

Unless they train in a realistic art (boxing, muay thai, Jiu Jitsu, etc) let them get in their fancy stance and take them out of their realm and put em on the ground.

It's just pride, stupidity and ego, they talk trash to boost their own ego and think their little scare tactic will make them look good in front of other people.

I don't see any point in fighting other than it shows how stupid a person can become, but if it becomes necessary to defend myself, I know I'm secure in my own knowledge of what I've learned to handle my business.

and the people who talk about using a gun to settle the fight is equally egotistical, because in my book, any pu**y can be damn fool enough to pull a trigger, but at least in Martial Arts, and proper training, you know how to preserve life instead of take it.

these people who talk the trash about how much of a Billy Badass they are have learned nothing from the Martial Arts and don't have anything better to do to fill their time except posturing and beating their chest like a gorilla to make other people think how cool they are.

So I wouldn't worry too much about these types of people, because actions speak much louder than words, and I've always preferred my actions to speak for me.

and being a peaceful person just means avoiding the conflict as much as possible, but doesn't mean standing there and let them beat you down either, but defending your life and those around you.

My favorite are the people want that to settle the scores with guns. These people talk all sorts of smack like " I would pull out my gun and shoot them". Last time I checked that is called cold-blooded murder. People that really think they would do this in a physical confrontation are either unrealistic or psychotic.
Also, do these people carry guns with them everywhere? To the mall, to work, to the doctor's office? It just seems safer to me to learn to defend yourself with your empty hand before you rely on a weapon that may not always be realistically used or at your disposal.

Ninedemon, if you try to fight to fight everyone that talks smack you will not have time to do the things in life that matter. Let them talk, it is meaningless noise. There are far too many wanna-be martial artist's that read and type about doing martial arts more than they actually do martial arts. Let them be. There is nothing to be gained in a challenge with them, they are as numerous as vermin and they will never show their faces.

People who tells the world that they are deadly or brags how bad *** they are, are those people who are COWARD and "THINKS" that they can beat anyone.A person who really is an expert in fighting already knows his capabilities, knows how react in a real fight and has already proven them to the world.A person that is really dangerous or deadly doesn't brag because he let his actions speak for himself.

So a person that brags that his as deadly as Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris, is just like a dog barking with the tail between his legs.

Most peopleare afraid of a physical confrontation, so they talk tough to try to scare someone away from the idea of a physical confrontation. Personally, I'd rather use a rifle with a good scope at three hundred meters, than throw punches.

I am an orange belt in karate, and am thinking of joining a Kendo or Kali dojo, and of all the people I have met doing martial arts, none of them have acted like this. every dojo I know of teaches discipline and respect, and obviously the people who claim that they are "dangerous" do not take classes. they would have gotten all of this behavior flushed out. so, my advice is to just be nice to them. they may have some hurt in their life that they are just getting over, and they are taking it out in a way that many people see as bullying. so, next time you see these people, give them a smile or even a hug. it may calm them down enough to see some sense. if it doesnt, then they're just wimps. plain and simple.

I'd have to agree with the previous comment about bullies, etc.

But, I also have to add: people who pick fights frequently forget whatever training they've had. Watch them, they don't use the skills they've acquirred.

Part of this is training methodology. Learning techniques without meditation on their application leaves you unable - or unwilling - to use them. This meditation can take many forms, including full-contact competition, but it has to be serious and frequent to matter.

Part of it is attitude. You train for defense, then you try to become the aggressor. You didn't train for aggression; you are, by definition, out of your depth.

The guys who actually use their training most often never tell you how tough they are. They just take care of business.

I find it that normally they try to find some person isolate them then attempt to beat the cr@p out of them because they think it makes them look tough. Problem is they don't pay attention to the opponent.

Everybody has an ego. Everybody wants to feel respected, and important. Let them talk trash. I'm scared of the quiet ones. You never know when or how they will strike.

Because its true that they are deadly.

So when they start opening their mouth don't come near.

You might get killed, by his breath cause most of this people dont brush their teeth.

If you fight hand to Hand combat with them, make sure you wear a Gas Mask.

To avoid being killed by a deadly gas coming from their mouth.
