Last Christmas my daughter "gave" mugs with her handprint on to grandparents and godparents. I'm trying to think of something new for her to do this year. She likes colouring in and stickers. I was thinking of making coloured macroni necklaces for female relations, but I'd be grateful for any ideas.

I found that going to a craft store and buying over the doorknob hangers and buying the little foam pieces that require no glue. You can pick them up cheap. There is little mess and they are things your family can cherish for years to come. They do come in an assortment of designes. Good luck and have fun.

Use the hand prints again. You can sort of position hand and footprints to look like a heart. Create a little poem about love.

If you did it last year they'll have fun compairing the difference in size.

How about picture frames? You can buy plain ones and help her glue fuzzy balls or large beads to them. Some can even be painted with kid-safe paint. Put a picture of your little family in there and, voila, a cute present for all.

calendars, my kids are 7 and 9 and grand parents and god parents, love them, and they last all year, and its nice to see how much there artistic skills have changed from year to year.
this year we are using pva glue, drawing a shape like a house, then sticking different coloured lentils and pulses on, using one colour at a time, making a 3d effect, you could do flowers, people, cars, faces, sun etc, whatever suits your childs ability, start now, and do a little bit a day, and it will soon be finished.!

When mine was about that age, I stripped her down and gave some finger paints and paper. I then framed her master pieces for grandma and grandpa. She is seven now and they still have those pictures hanging in their house.
