No. I find it increasingly difficult to remain a Democrat.

I do not believe a Christian should belong to any origination that advocates murdering millions of unborn babies, and calls it "Reproductive Rights".

I do not believe any Christian should belong to any organization that repudiates every thing we believe in, and supports things that are anathema to what we believe.

How a Christian can remain in the Democrat Party is a mystery to me, how a Christian would vote for any Democrat is a mystery to me.

The real question is can you be a Christian and NOT support Democratic policies?

You, of course, are refering to a women's right to govern her own body. You, of course, do NOT have a uterus, and so I say to you, "shut the F^%* up." When you grow a uterus, come and talk to me. If men were the ones to have bleeding weeks every months for 30 years and if their choices for avoiding pregnancy involved inserting copper wire coils into their uterus OR poisoning their body with pills filled with hormones that will likely give them cancer later in life OR major general anesthetic surgery for a tubal ligation OR never have sex...let me repeat that...NEVER HAVING SEX- well, then men would figure out how to control their own bodies.

You want to stop abortions? Here's the answer;
Mandatory reversible vasectomies for ALL males at age 11.
DONE.

Snip, snip!
Men won't have to deal with dangerous copper coils, no poison pills every day, no risk of death in childbirth and women would have free and natural bodies without the fear of every time they have sex they might become pregnant. And I DO mean FEAR of becoming pregnant. It's is not something women want to do very single year until their uterus drops out of their vagina from overuse. Outpatient surgery for you guys. A couple tylenols and you're good to go.

When a man has truly found the woman he will move, marry and be with for the rest of his life, and when he can prove that he is financially, emotionally, mentally and physically capable and ready to become a father, he will then be allowed to have the vasectomy reversed and he and his wife can have a baby. If he cheats on his wife or divorces her and starts working for a roofing company who pays him cash under the table so he can hide his income and not pay child support-then he will be found and given a PERMANENT vasectomy so he can't knock up another woman.

If this went into affect TODAY, nine months from today their would never, ever, ever again be an unwanted pregnancy or an abortion.

So what do you say big guy? Step right up. I'll do the surgery myself! Let's go! Put your money where your mouth is or shut the hell up.

And that killing millions of babies crap...you "Christian" Republican's have the blood of tens of thousands of Iraqi's AND American's on your hands for the permission you give your rodeo clown leader to kill other people's babies who happen to be 18 now.

If you want to discuss the metaphysical aspects of the relationship between a potential mother and an incoming soul and what Karmic impact abortion really has, bring it.

A good Christian supports a lying, secretive administration that lead the country to wars on shaky and questionable evidence. A good Christian is intolerant to the opinions of others? Wait and see what things look like after November.

Mmm.. depends what you consider a "real" Christian. There are literally hundreds of denominations in this world, they all call themselves Christians. So, I suppose it depends on your (personal) christian views (and of course also the political ones) if you think somebody can be a Democrat and a Christian or not at the same time. This also applies to the Republicans, of course.

It depends on your opinion of abortion and whether you believe the crap that zealots spread (such as the girl's tale of abortion where she was accompanied in the abortion clinic with a woman in her 8th month who was also there to abort... what BS!)

At the same time, can you support killing millions or innocents from other countries while at the same time sacrificing people from your own and still be Christian?

Jesus was not a part of politics in any way. He said we also should be no part of the world, John 17:16 Christians should support God's kingdom not any government of any nation. When that happens abortion will stop.

Not really, some of the bad planks of the Democrats are support for gay marriage and adoption, abortion, removal of religion (primarily christian) from anything that could conceivably insult someone that they can pass a regulation for.

The Democrats social agenda is nice that they want to help the poor, etc. However I disagree with the methods as their handouts without accountability only lead to dependence and not independence for those that need them.

Hmm....democrats support choice which does not directly correlate to abortion. They support the individuals right to decided for themselves.

Furthermore, I don't think this is valid life argument. Republicans for the most part support the Death Penalty (with our current President overseeing alot of those when he was Governor of Texas) and the current war in Iraq which has killed countless number of people (American or otherwise).

The Republican party use to be the party of less government, less involvement in personal decision and fiscal responsibility. The current Republican party does not support those values, instead focusing on push-button issues such as abortion, non-traditional unions, and family values, all of which are personal choices.

The Democratic party use to be about social equity, economic equity, more government socialism, and community. The current manifestation of this party is also far off kilter.

I truly hope you political debate goes deeper than this as it would be hypocritical to disagree with one form of death and agree to other forms.

Of course. And you don't even have to support abortion, itself, to support the idea that the choice is the woman's, not the government. Most Democrats are Christians.

Given that Convervatives seem to promote intolerance, corporatism, and are apathetic towards the poor, the environment, and equality, I would think it would be harder to be a Christian and a Republican.

To vote would be to allow another the right to speak and act on your behalf.
If they kill, you helped.
If they wage war, you helped.
If they caused lives to be ruined by more taxes, less medical benefits, the widows or orphans to be homeless, or even the homeless to be cold, you helped.
Your conscience should guide you, not politics.
