Lbs is the abbreviation for pounds. Americans use pounds and not kilograms.
1 lb = 0.45 kg
so 53 kg is about 118 lbs.

Bc most people on here are probably from the US, and here most people were taught the standard form of measurement. You are referring to the metric system which is used by everyone else in the world. If you want to know what lbs is, it means pounds, and to find the conversion just remember that 1 kg is 2.2 lbs.

We use pounds in the US because we don't use metric. There are 2.2 lbs per kg, so you weigh 116.6 pounds. There.
