I can't seem to find a women who knows how to cook and can get off her butt long enough to help out with chores. I do all the cooking and housework. What's a guy gotta do to get a girl who's maybe just a little old-fashioned? Anyone else share my sentiments?

I think it's funny that about 95% of the women who responded to this question are putting me down. I guess you're all just lazy as sh*t too.

tell u what-here is deal-YOU make enough so i CAN stay home-have car/vacation/good life etc. and i'll have dinner on table and keep house-BIG nice house-clean as can be.

I'm a woman, and I know it's got to be hard these days for anyone looking for a mate to share their lives! Women, and men both seem to have huge chips on their shoulders! I don't know why it became bad for a woman to be great at cooking,taking care of her home,caring for her children, and keeping her husband happy!!! I think alot of women would find themselves smiling alot more, if they were exhausted each night from spending an hour with their husbands,than totally exhausted before they even get into the bed with them! Now if you're hubby is an abusive jerk, I say get out,...but it doesn't make you less human to put your husband first in your life!!! If you put him first, then the children,home,job,all will fall into their place much easier,and you find yourself,much calmer,and able to deal when things do get hectic!!! A woman has certain traits she was born with, such as nurturing,being a softer side of things,a woman is sensual,loving,comforting! A woman is also smart,strong,she has an ability to handle several situations at once,she leads,guides,and cares for those around her! But somehow it's gotten confused that if a woman shows the more domesticated,loving,sensual, nurturing side,
that she gives up her power! Believe me, if a man is well cared for and happy,as if a woman is the same, they don't want your power ,they'll be happy with just wanting you!!!
So I feel for you,and anyone searching today...both sexes need to be who they are,get the chips off,men be men,and please your woman, women be women, and please your man ! Put each other first,try doing what pleases the other...if your man likes a clean house,and your home all day,then clean the house! Remember it goes both ways, if you want a man to be a man,then you get that by being a woman! Not a slave, or a dog,we are not talking abusive situations here!!! Just don't be so offended at being someone who cares about her man!!!

HAHA! Some women are lazy man. It's just the way they are. I know a lot of girls that cook and clean etc.
No matter if it's a man or woman, they should both do their part and share the responsibility of chores and cooking.
Me personally I can't cook a lick, thank God for Restaurants lol.

You're probably looking for a Barbi Doll to be your partner instead of a woman with depth and maturity. If you're wanting a Barbi Doll, then that's what you'll get. If you're looking for a partner in a realistic sense, then look for a woman AT LEAST your age, or maybe even older. There are ALOT of beautiful and experienced older women out there who are passed over by most men because they are not the "Barbi Doll" that most of you younger men dream of. I am 44 years old and I have a body that is to die for and I can cook and clean and work seven days a week because I understand the definition of dedication and determination. I'm very lucky to have a man who TOTALLY appreciates who I am and how I make him feel.

well thats funny...i do all the cooking, cleaning, and tending to the kids. i thought it was 50/50 with a family. like i cook...someone else cleans. i don't get that lucky. if i don't do it...it doesn't get done. maybe i've got an old soul.

Yes my friend, I know exactly how you feel. In fact, I have given up on American women and am looking overseas for a wife right now. I'm starting to think there are no old-fashioned women left in this country, thanks to the femenist movement.

Man up and tell her what she's expected to do. If you let the women in your life walk over you like that, they will. If you lay down fair expectations to build a teamlike relationship, they will respect you instead.
