Relax. The brain is like the hand. When the hand is relaxed and open, it's easy to put things in and take things out. When the hand is closed, nothing goes in, nothing comes out. The same is true of the mind. When the mind is closed, nothing goes in and nothing comes out. When the mind is open and relaxed, anything can go in or out. The evidence is all around:

Military: the purpose of the physical training isn't just body development, it's to wear you out, lower your resistance to what they're trying to put in your head.

Interrogation: sleep deprivation is a common trick: wear you out so you can't resist.

Sleep teaching: you're relaxed so you don't resist.

Think like a child. A child simply accepts what's given. An adult always measures new knowledge against experience, often with the result of thinking: "I never did it that way before, and it was okay? Why do I have to do something different?"

Relax and open your mind. Keep the mind of a child.

You limit is 10 megabytes per second. Like a computer, when your brain is handling too many inputs, everything slows down. Inputs come from thousands of sensory nodes, you eyes and ears being just two, but they carry the highest load. If you are studying, limit what you are hearing. If you are listening to a lecture tape, cover your eyes. Eat something before studying, but don't drink coffee or anything with caffeine. They only hype you up and shorten your attention span.

When you are studying, you are only putting the info into temporary memory. You don't save it to permanent memory until you go to sleep, at night. You need at least 8 hours of sleep to give the brain enough time to sort, categorize, and the data. Remember, this includes everything you did, saw, heard, and felt, while awake. It is all data to the brain. If you want to lose some of what you learned, don't get enough sleep.

Other things also happen while you are sleeping that affects your ability to study, such as re-oxidizing the muscles, repairing any injuries, regardless of the type, and rebuilding the immune system.

It's simple go find a job in the phone co. I was in telecommunications and loved it since there was something new to learn every day. I felt like my brain was a sponge just soaking up new things every day. You are like me and will never be happy unless you have a job or something that is a challenge each day.
You need to hire on with a big company. In the phone co. I was always getting loaned out to other departments because I loved learning new things.

Try to open your eyes and see things from different point of view, try something different everyday. Be out and about looking for new experiences. If you always have Mexican food on Tuesday, go to a Chinese restaurant instead. Pick up a book, read it , choose a subject you never read about before, how about numerology. Expand your horizons, find new friends. Have fun.
