Over 150,000 die each year for their faith, Christian persicution is worse today than in any other century. Do you think the liberals know they are in the crowd with Bloody Mary, King Charles IX and the many others they have and are attacking Christ followers.

Because they don't like being reminded that they're sinners:

John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Peace.

This will probably be a hard pill to swallow but here it is.
Every Christian faith follows their own interpretation of the bible,Thanks to all the "parables" and other loose ends evryone gets a different interpretation.Every scipture to prove a point can be countered by another. Also the Bible ,historically can't hold water, well over 5,000 errors in it,but orcestrated by god? The perfect being. And why doesn't the bible mention dinosaurs?God would have known about them surely,he would have created them. That answer is simple, man didn't know about them till 200 years ago,Had they known 2000 years ago someone would have included an excuse for them, yet your still driving your car on fuel derived from them.Dude, you may as well worship Santa Clause.,about the same amount of truth in that story.I'm sure that Jesus was a real person but not god,not the son of god,Just another fraud playing on the peoples need for a god.Every miracle he was suppose to accomplish has already been done by past gods, resurection, goddess Freida turning her bath water to beer, look into things.Jesus was almost certainly a married man,it would have been way to wierd not to be in his time to not mention in the bible..Most people just don't want to hear it anymore, and all the differant"christian " facets are tired of fighting over who knows more and whos right, everybody that doesn't believe their way is going to burn in hell and suffer for eternity{,This from a peaceful and loving god}Get well soon.

Funny, I plugged "150,000 Christians" into Yahoo and what I came up was a private biased website giving this exact number of Christians who had been "martyred" in this last year, but of course giving no sources for this number, just calling it "global reports." It at least said that these numbers were "chiefly" outside the United States. Chiefly? I'd like to know the exact number of Christians who were martyred for their faith in the United States. Seems like that would be front page news wouldn't it sir?

Also, Mary I of England (Bloody Mary) persecuted Protestants as a Roman Catholic. Both denominations are Christians. So it was basically Christians killing Christians.

Are you deliberately being disingenuous or do you need an understanding of the difference between biased and unbiased websites and perhaps a history class?

As to your first question, it's easy to answer. People are sick and tired of uninvited and unwelcome proselytizing. Most people already have a religious belief or have rejected religion, it is their choice. They are extremely tired of Xtians who have no tolerance or respect for others beliefs and who prattle on endlessly about how they are going to Hell for not being "saved." I do have respect for Christians who do not attempt to legislate their religion into all of our lives and understand the difference between Christianity and our form of government. These folks understand that being the majority religious sector in this country does not entitle them to special rights.

I suspect if you stop judging others in the name of God, and at least, even if grudgingly, acknowledge that others have the right to believe as they wish, you will be far on the path to letting go of your laughable claim of persecution in this country. Christians are persecuted in some other countries across the globe, but so are other faiths, take a long look at the Middle East if you doubt this.

It isn't just liberals who are tired of this haranguing, but many moderates and conservatives as well. It is possible to be either one without wishing to beat others over the head with their religion. There are millions of Christians who are angry about fundmentalists giving them all a bad name by their methods and their intolerance.

I don't hate Christians for telling me about their faith, but I DO hate being preached to. Also, I strongly disagree with you about the bit about the persecution of Christians being worse today than in any other century. The last I heard, no Christians were being fed to lions and most Western countries were predominantly Christian and had (at least nominally) Christian leaders.Telling you off for your efforts to force your beliefs down others' throats does not put one in the same league as Mary I or Charles IX. If you don't like being told to shut up and mind your own business, then stop proselytizing!

Okay, saying no is NOT the same as killing, jailing, or torturing you!!!!

I don't hate you for telling me about Jesus. I do hate that Jesus is used to justify discrimination against me as a woman-loving woman and a Pagan. I hate that you believe stereotypes and propaganda against me rather than what I'm saying. I hate that you insist that I'm unhappy. I hate that you try to *make* me unhappy. And I hate that I keep hearing the pitch.

But hate *you*, for having a belief? No.

Please grow some perspective. Link below's just in case you want to do something real about real persecution.

Not all liberals hate Christianity. I am no conservative or fundamentalist, yet I'm a Christian. One's personal political standings do not denote their religious affiliation, as the conservative right over the past 2 decades has tried so hard to establish, not for their Christian means, but for their political achievments. If they can get Christianity to endorse them and view liberalism as anti-Christian, then they have a broad support base. But not all liberals are anti-Christian, and not all conservatives are good Christians (as Pat Robinson and Jerry Falwell have put a bad name on Christianity). So in short, I'm a liberal, and I'm a Christian. I believe Jesus died for my sins, I am saved, and yet I didn't vote for Bush. Its not contradictory.

Most Christians, not all, but MOST, teach hate instead of love. See how you are generalizing liberals without knowing anything about them except what you've been taught. There is good in everyone, and there is bad in everyone. Christianity will not white wash you from sin, just as liberal politics won't wash away guilty consciences. Spirituality and Politics should not be intertwined, but they are. And people are sick of hearing why everyone is so right about everything. While you think you have something so great that you have to share it with everyone, please don't jam it down our throats. Thanks.

I don't HATE anyone for telling me about anything in a way that I haven't heard it before.

I don't appreciate having scripture rammed down my throat when straight conversation would suffice. I don't appreciate being told that I'll be punished for thinking X or saying X or doing X or supporting X because it's against someone else's interpretation of God's word.

If Christians would follow Jesus' ways a little better and be kind and compassionate rather than so judgmental and morally superior, perhaps they wouldn't feel so persecuted. Oh, and there are plenty of liberal Christians too. : )

Peace.

There was a time I was in public and a couple of Christians came up to me to tell me about their beliefs. That was fine. I even sat and listened to their spiel for about 15 minutes( I try to be open minded about everything.) When I had to leave however they kept following me around trying to get me to go to their church. I had no interest and wasn't going to change my mind. Now I can't say I hate people telling me about their beliefs( I have Christian friends and we will have religious discussions all the time) but pushy irritating people who have to try and "save" me right their give the rest a bad name. So get off your high horse and treat others with respect and I for one well treat you with respect no matter how different our beliefs.

I don't know about anyone else but what I hate is when someone tries to cram their beliefs down my throat and completely disregards my beliefs. If a person wants to discuss it, I'm more than happy to listen but don't force it on me. I can make my own choices seeing as how I'm the one that has to live with them.

Wow. You've made some sweeping statements here. You are right, people die at the hands of religious zealots, but Christians do not have blood free hands. And just because one is tired of having the Christian religion shoved down one's throat does not mean one goes around violently attacking Christians. Try to get a broader world view. Do some studying.
