I've been friends with this girl for about 18 months now; I've always liked her, but nothing's happened 'cause one or both of us has always had a significant other. Now the time has finally come where we're both free and single, but how do I make it clear I fancy her (and preferably get into her knickers) w/o freaking her out? Some friends and I are staying at hers this weekend for a drinking sesh, so at least I can be a bit less tense about being around her. Mainly by being drunk.

You started off so well and then you just had to stick in the bit about getting in her knickers didnt you!!!
Just tell her straight out that you've always liked her, but didnt tell her due to the other partners, but now that you're both single you were sondering if she'd consider having dinner some night and see how ye get on - let her know you're not putting on any pressure and DO NOT try and jump into bed with her straight away - unless of course she initiates it!

You just have to slide into the conversation about it because i had the same thing happen except i knew the guy for 5 years before we ever went out & believe me if he wouldn't have made the first move into the conversation, we wouldn't have ever went out. And i am sooooooo happy that he had made that move!!!

Ask a mutual friend to sound her out first, get him/her to mention you like her and your both single now so what does she think?
That way you'll know up front wether it's game on or not.

it won t be a good start for a relationship with her.try to see her before the weekend and talk clearly with her.make sure to explain your feelings,maybe she feels in the same way!
