STRESS major cause of cold sores

Both are caused by viruses. If she gets around aomeone with the virus, she can caught the disease. That can happen just by walking down the street, touching an infected shopping cart, from anyone in her workplace, etc.

Neither stress throat or cold sores are proof of any kind of cheating on your wives part. There are simple too many innocent ways that she could have gotten them. I have been married for 33 years and never once cheated. But I have had cold sores and strepp throat numerous times. Kids get both and they are not sexually active. I'm sure you have had one or both at same time in your life. Did it come from cheating?

Sorry, you will have to do better than that.

HSV-1 (the virus that casuses coldsores) is a very common virus. It is thought that 90% of adults have been exposed to the virus during their lifetime. While it is transferred person-to-person, it is highly contagious and can be passed through sharing a drink, shaking hands, or even touching something someone else has handled. You cannot assume she is with someone else just because she has cold sores today.

The virus behaves strangley and after the first episode of the disease, the virus lies dormant in the nerves or skin around the original area until something sets the virus off into another eruption. Colds, flu, and even stress can cause someone to have an outbreak of cold sores. Why a person can have an outbreak at one time of life and not another is not clearly understood. So stated, it is possible she has been exposed to the virus pre-marriage.

Find out why youtr marriage is failing first and worry about the cold sores later. :)

Stress from your failing marriage might be weakening her immune system. Strep throat is a virus, not a bacterial infection. You can catch it anywhere, its a very common viral agent. Whether or not you get strep throat is decided on how strong your immune system is at fighting the viruses initial attack.

Cold sores are a type of herpes, and once you have one you're infected for life, you cant recatch them again from other people. Most people get them as infants or young children from their parents. The virus remains dormant in the spine, and a person can go years without a cold sore.

So no, while these things are spread person to person, theyre not affectionate viruses... in that you dont catch them from intimate relationships only. You can get strep throat like you get a cold... even standing in line at the supermarket.

No, It's stress related. Go to a marriage counselor. If you still love her make it work. There's to many divorces in the world.
On the other hand cold sores can be transmitted from kissing. Hmmmm.

Cold sores come and go throughout life - usually are triggered by temperature changes or stress...

Strep is a viral infection. She could've picked it up anywhere... i.e. the grocery store (touching the cart handle, touching groceries, bringing them home, opening the package, and eating).

I would be more concerned with picking up the strep (before she gets antibiotics) than I would about her infedelity!!

Can cold sores and...? I don't think so. Probably stress-related.
And what did you do to your wife, that your marriage is failing? It is up to the husband, to keep things in order and pay attention to his wife's needs, etc., to maintain harmony in a marriage. Failure to do so will inevitably cause problems.

She could be messing around on you behind your back. You better get her tested. For all you know, she could have herpes.
