My girlfriend does not make the effort to call me... It's always me who has to do that. I'm her first boyfriend, and I really like her and care for her, but sometimes I feel like she isn't responding.
She's actually really shy.. I asked her if she really cares for me, and she said she does.. but from her actions, I don't know what to believe..
She talks to all the other guys at school, but with me she's really quiet. We've been together about a month, but still.. shouldn't she be willing to approach me now? I mean I do it most of the time, and if I do nothing, then she won't approach me...
Is it just not working, or is she just shy? :(

ask her what's up...if she can't give you a good reason (and being shy or "testing you" doesn't count, btw)...then move on and put yourself back on the market...you seem like you wouldn't have any problems getting someone else who'll treat you better.
It can seem like a big loss now, but you'll hardly feel anything for her once you find a girl who'll give you what you need.

Maybe she is very shy arouund you more so than other people for some reason. She might not even be ready to be dating someone right now. Give her a little more time to get to know her. I mean i dont know the circumstances,,like do you and her out go out on dates together? or is it just calling eachother girlfriend an boyfriend in school? How does she act if you two go out together if thats the case? Do what you feel is right...if you think shes not responding to you in a girlfriend way,,then talk to her and see what she says. Maybe shes not ready to be with anyone yet. Let her go if you think the relationship isnt going anywhere,and you think you have to put all the effort in it...It should go both ways.

1 month is not a long time for some girls to warm up to guys. Maybe she needs more time. Some girls do take relationship seriously and she might be deciding if she is really serious about you.
If she likes you to call her keep doing it. She not calling you doesn't mean that she is not making an effort. If she's happy to talk to you on the phone when you call then there should be nothing wrong.

I believe she is shy. She isn't experienced and she probably gets really nervous!!! Don't give up on her yet!!! Give the poor girl a chance. Everyone else on here isn't taking into account that you are her first boyfriend...

Truthfully,,, Do what she does to you. Don't call her for a week or how ever long she does it to you. Then... see if she calls you then if she doesn't then you know you need to find a new girl. Hope everything works out.

I think you need to slowly back off, be more outgoing and start talking to other girls, if that's the case.
