For those of you who have depression, its like you have no reason for living. I have it, I feel like I have no meaning for life, I feel so isolated from the world even though I come in contact with other people every day, and I just feel this great "void" inside of me. Please offer serious suggestions.

We are so lucky in these days, Michael, that depression like ours can be eradicated through simple medication. First, you must see a Doctor and tell him your symptoms. You will probably be put on a course of mild psychotropic medications (Prozac is a well known one of these, though there are newer and better ones today). Gradually you will increase the dose till you are finally at a place where you are no longer aware of feeling the abiding sadness and despair that you describe.
See your doctor right away. Don't surrender one more day to this awful condition.

Without a doctor - serious exercise is the only thing proven to relieve depression without pharmaceuticals. Otherwise, your best recourse is to see a doctor. There are many drugs available that will help with the depression but will not make you feel tired, laggard, or stupid.

Find something to give your life meaning. For me it is my Catholic faith. If religion isn't your things, thre are many other avenues to explore. Also seek professional help, as moderate to severe depression DOES NOT go away on its own.

Sports. Helps you focus on things outside of yourself. Also pets. Some can be very "loving" and others need a lot of "loving".
