There are a lot of faith healers in our country too. Some of them are real. Some are probably convincing enough that the person in need of healing has his subconscious kicks in, and the body psychologically heals itself...

In South Africa, Sangomas, or Witch doctors, use their powers to communicate with the forefathers, to give advise to a client seeking it.
The also sell muti or trinkets, that keep evil spirits (like the tokoloshe) away, or heal diseases.
