Try some bag balm on his pads. There is also a wax you can put on your dogs paw pads to help with this as well.
GetEmGang, what breed of dog do you own???? Have you dealt with dogs that can tear up their paw pads?? You are a very angry person. You are the one that does not know a thing! Look here for some Paw wax http://handsnpaws.com/category/winterpetsafety/ I guess it doesn't exist as far as you are concerned right?!! What are your qualifications on being such a nasty person aswering peoples honest questions about their pets??

When my greyhound sliced her pad I bathed it regularly with detol solution and then with a salt water solution for a few days, but if it's really bad it may need a trip to the vet I'm afraid, for a stitch or two. Greyhounds are accident prone so good luck.

When this happened to my Labrador, I called her vet, and he said if I couldn't bring her in, to do "this." First, clean the injured areas & pat them dry afterwards. Then get a tube of "Triple Antibotic Ointment" and put it on those areas, but not too thick. He also said it is true about the healing effect a dogs tongue has. Licking that ointment off won't hurt your dog either, and the dog is actually rubbing "some" of it into the injured area "by" licking it-and he or she "will." My dogs pads healed in
less than 2 weeks. Good luck.

there is a cream that heals skin really well you can get it from some pet shops but not all of them my dog had to go in the kennels while i was movein house and because he was away for so long he had done something to his tail they told me it would cost me £200 to have it chopped of as i dont agree with it i looked around pet stores and chose a cream called skin ease and it really does work as he never had his tail cut of and i use it all the time now. its worked all the time for me my dog also chews at his feet wen he has the cream on he leaves them alone as he always had sore pads on his feet hope this helps you and hope you can find the cream as i know it will work!

i would take the dog to the vets to get it checked out pads are really bad at healing up and you dont want an infection the vet will have a look and decide if it needs stitching or protecting and may even give antibiotics if he feels the need

I don't know the name of any sprays. I treated my dogs cut foot with healing antiseptic cream and wrapped his foot. I had a hard time getting him to leave his foot alone. I used gauze, stretch wraps and even some duct tape, it still took him a few hours and it would be off, the bandages I mean, wish I could help you more.

The sugar in honey is food for cellular reproduction. Heals wounds very quickly in humans and animals. Might be tough to bandage such that your pup wouldn't lick it off. Awww pup -- get well soon!

If the pad is lacerated you can get surgical super glue to close it. If it is an abrasion then Bag Balm works about the best.

clean the cut well with antiseptic solution and then you can get an antiseptic spray from equine / farm shops which is bright purple, this keeps any nasties out of the cut and helps it heal.
