Good question. Thank you. It shouldn't be that way. Our government is totally dysfunctional. I love my country, but I loathe our government, who cares nothing for it's citizens.

because our government, read: the bush administration, is pro-business, pro-rich, anti-working class. Iraqis are getting free health care and receiving more benefits than most Americans, illegals included.

We would need to build a lot. Our budget couldn't keep up and the coyotes would build a trampoline to send them back for a fee
