My wife and I love wine from the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Some have won the highest awards in the international arena. For a chilled red wine we like Knapp Serenity!

Jacobs Creek Shiraz, Australia; Stowells Colombard Chardonnay, Australia; Vina Decana Crianza Utiel Requiena 2000 Tempranillo/Cabernet and Jovan Rose', France. Australian wines generally tend to be my favourite. I also like French reds, Italian whites, and Chilean reds. Llano makes some nice wines and they are from Texas. I don't like California wines full stop.

Shiraz red wine, from Iran...my motherland!!! I'm actually from the city of Shiraz also, so I gotta promote my peeps! But the wine is really good. Want me to buy a bottle and come over? HaHa!

Had to make a correction to the girl before me...I'm glad she enjoys Shiraz wine, but its technically not from Australia. Although it is produced in Australia (since Iran does not produce alcohol anymore, legally..haha), the grape that is used for Shiraz wine is from Iran. It's been in our history for ages, and last I checked there is no place in Australia named Shiraz, but there sure is in Iran!!! WooHoo...Go Persians!!!

I'd say a sauvignon from NZ or a gavi from Italy on the whites and a Valpolicella on the reds always does it for me...spend at least 8quid though
