I like men in uniform and this qualifies as a uniform. This is the most recognizable uniform in the world!

Bearskin hats???? well for a start a newer material would benefit both the wearer and the provider, i would imagine they are not light in weight making it very uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, in summer ouch they would be hot hot hot.
For the provider well why kill something in this day and age for its skin??? No need. Sure they look nice when all brushed up and cleaned but im sure there is a man made material more than capable of mimicking the bear skin hat that would be cooler and lighter and more comfortable to wear...
I think the bears would agree.....

It is time the British army abandoned some of these antiquated practices. As for the Queen, it is a rare man who has ever heard her voice an opinion on anything.

i dont think its a bad thing there more of a turist attraction now and the bears probably look forward to being on parade they probably hear the tales of the pround mommy and daddy bears telling stories of the old times when there gr8 gr8 gr8 grandbears were offered the chance to work for the Queen maybe they find it a gr8 honour

well apparently they can produce hats that are fake fur but still look the part and have the desired affect but the queen is obviously a snob and probably would'nt care if they were/are endangered species!

i love them, i also love the fact there all different heights to make all soldiers in line the same height, the queen rocks! i love her to bits, forget the trest of the royal family the queen is just such a lovely lady and never seen in the sme outfit twice!!!! OMG!!

Well it had to happen sometime, now its just a matter of time before they get any excuse to eliminate more of the English Heritage. You wear it with Pride mate!!!
