The easiest way would probably be to re-plaster it or go into b&q im sure they will be able to give you professional advice and couldprobably supply you with a good product. Good luck i spent 5 days getting awful artext wallpaper out of my bedroom with a steamer!

Bet my mate Les did the job, he was a wiz at woodchip. If it is woodchip I feel sorry for you. By wetting it you will probably damage the boarding, Try dry stripping, you can get a good stripping tool with a blade about 4" on the end at an angle, I got one from the pound shop. Try one of the diy sanding blocks, one about 4"x7" and use M2 glass paper cut the sheet into 3 and wear a mask. You can break down the surface, size and line. Cross lining may be a help, use a heavy gauge paper and use poly cell or the like, but mix it about double strength. Easy way to mix paste is to use walm water and when you have pasted one or two lengths allow them to soak for about 15 minutes before hanging or it will bubble.
Good luck, you will need it but wood chip ughhhhhhhhh!

i understand of three education ideas: a million. Use a plant mister (water spray can) to deliver a mist of water interior the kitten's way at the same time as it is going for the wallpaper. 2. Use a can with some money or marbles and shake it confusing at the same time as the kitten is going for the wall paper to startle it. 3. Use a clicker an analogous as volume 2. i do not understand of a few thing you could spray on the walls that does no longer do as a lot damage because the kitten, even with the indisputable fact that the learning issues will artwork and none of them are cruel. it truly is how I experienced all 5 of mine to stay off the table and counter tops. solid luck!

Polycell sell a special product for this. It is a skimming substance and there are ones for covering textured wallpapers, ceilings and rough plaster. You can find out where your nearest stockist is by going to www.polycell.co.uk. It is made so that you don't have to strip off the old stuff.

I have not seen that for a long time.. To level it is probably NOT an option.. but I would strongly recommend a primer be put on first and then painted.... I take that back.. There probably is a costly way of leveling and that is to replaster the whole walls and making it smooth.. then priming it and then painting

If you really can't take it off, yep, getting it skimmed (by a professional) would be the best option. We just got two rooms done a couple of weeks back and it's not very expensive. We found our plasterer from a card he'd left in the local Homebase.

Looks like it can't be skimmed after all (see answer above!).

I'm afraid the only way is to take it off.
It would be worth having the walls skimmed properly by a plasterer, you would get a much better paint finish than any half-@rsed DIY solution.

It depends how thick the texture is,if its not to thick go to b&q and get the highest grade lineing paper they have, thats so easy to put up and if you put it on nice and straight not showing any lines, you can wallop it whatever colour you want, and it looks just like youve walloped over plaster.ive done mine before. Its also very cheap to buy and the rolls are very big from b&q.
