Democrat leaders by sitting back and allowing tyrants to kill millions of people and not doing anything about it. My favorite example is Somalia. President Clinton says, we are going to Somalia to help save tens of thousands of lives. We go there to bring food and medical aid. Several of our soldiers die, his polls sink, he high tales it out of there. What ever happened to saving lives?
Today in Iraq, making it a secure place will benefit everyone, including the peoples over there. Democratic leaders want to "Pull out now!" This would be death for thousands upon thousands of people trying for democracy.

Its probably about even, and it also depends on the times. We have had many wars throughout our short history. Revolution, French &Indian, Spanish & American, WW1, WW2, Cold War, Korean War, Vietnam War. The current war has had fewer lives lost than 1 hour in Vietnam. Same with WW2. We need to keep things in perspective otherwise we just sound like ignorant fools.

Venus M, we didn't have a president during the French and Indian war.
Through war it is about equal. However, through things like outlawing medical necesities (George W, stemcell research) the republicans have put themselves in the lead.

Lincoln (Republican) was president during the Civil War which cost us 620,000 lives, and FDR (Democrat) was president during WWII which cost us 400,000 lives. I guess you have to make a judgment call from that data.

I should hope that no one leader kills at all. Also, what does this have to do with religion and spirituality? I fail to see the connection.

It depends entirely on their actions as a leader. You cannot assume just from their political point of view whether they will kill people, indirectly or not.

lately i just don't care anymore. i used to feel very strongly about the partys, but i'm just so sick of both sides lying to everyone, and manipulating the facts.
it seems the best that either sides can offer is that they are not the other side....

If they are politicians, then it don't matter.
They just kill in different ways.
Some by war, and others in medical denials.
