It is a genetic disease. It arises from interplay of multiple genes with external environmental factors. The more atopic genes that are present, the less environmental initiators are required to produce eczema.

Many kids have eczema and Most of them grow out of it on their own. DO NOT give your child any prescription medication : side-effects of those are harmful and much worse than eczema. 1. Moisturize the skin. Vaseline is the most neutral moisturizer. Apply it right after the shower to lock in moisture. 2. Bathe or shower in warm (not hot) water and for short (not long) periods of time. Hot and prolonged baths dehydrate the skin. 3. Watch your childs diet and avoid foods that make her eczema worse (usually dairy, eggs, wheat, rye, rice, chocolate) 4. Don't expose your child to household chemicals. 5. Don't use perfumed soaps and shampoos. 6. If your child scratches herself: make her wear cotton mittens so she doesn't damage the skin. 7. Stay away from prescriiption medicines (or, if you can't - read about their side effects first) 8. Don't panic: your child will grow out of it. Best, Bernadette

drink limu moui. www.thefirst.originallimu.com I have really fallen for this product as it has helped many people with skin problems. It is all natural and is considered a whole food, not a medicine, so your son will not have any side effects. I know its pricey, but I know your son is worth it, I feel for you as I have been there. look in the pubmed and research fucoidan and see the results.

Allergies. Most commonly milk, but i think it could be any food or beverage that irritates it. cut down on milk and see if the rashes get better. If that doesn't work try another common allergic food.

The most common cause is allergies. You should have them tested for allergies. My children's ezcema cleared up once I learned they were allergic to certain foods and stopped feeding them those foods.

Going on my own experience with two kids, I'd say that milk/lactose has a LOT to do with it. We give our kids cow's milk way too early in my opinion.
