Well, Lincoln was a republican, and the republicans were in power during the Civil War, so we don't always lose our wars when republicans are in charge.

As the terrorists said themselves, they will when the war in Iraq because Americans can't stomach it. Meaning if we were to stay our course, we would win, but everyone knows that the liberals won't allow that from happening. Same thing with Vietnam, liberal masses. The fact the Chavez holds up liberal rhetoric at the UN saying this is a great book that gave explains how America is evil tells me that the liberals in this country are very effective at giving hope to our enemies.

Vietnam was not a war. The police action was started by Kennedy, a Dem. It was continued and escalated by Johnson, another Dem. It was recognized as a futile mistake by Nixon, a Repub. who got elected because the Dems had messed up Vietnam so badly.

Iraq is not over or lost by any means. Time will tell.

Because the democrats begin playing a power struggle the minute republicans come into office. The republicans are so caught up in red tape their hands are basically tied.

No, they just have the uncanny need to police the entire world, then when they actually try to do something they figure out that the enemy is smarter than they are. Democrats, on the other hand, know how to min their own business.

Yes sure, we REALLY should have stayed in Vietnam, where the enemy had vastly superior knowledge of the terrain, supplies, and skill. Vietnam is an embarassment to our country, we never should have gotten involved in that mess.
