Exodus 3 documents the appearance of "the angel of the LORD" to Moses:

13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

REMEMBER: Moses is speaking with God (vs. 13a) and God told us He may be referred to as the "I AM." In the NT, we read this:

John 8:56 "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” 57 Then the Jews said to Him [Jesus], “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Jesus answered this way to demonstrate He pre-existed Abraham; however, He also tells us HE is the "I AM," the angel (messenger) of the LORD; therefore, He is God (see Exodus 3:13a).

RIGHT ON!! Jesus was God. Is God. This historically and scriptually proves it! Check out the greek verb eimi, meaning "to be," conjugated as "I am." When Jesus says in the greek text "ego eimi," (eh-goh eh-mee), He is saying "I AM."

Do you believe anyone who claims to be God is God? Or do you only believe it when you read it in a book that has been translated, edited and re-translated dozens of times throughout history?

Jesus also prophesied that he would return to bring about the end of the world during the lifetime of some of his listeners. Unless you know of any 2000 year old people living today that was a complete lie and false prophesy. So if Jesus lied or was simply mistaken on this occasion, how do you know the other stuff he allegedly said was true?

"But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God."

- Luke 9:27

"Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."

- Mathew 16:28

If Jesus wasn't God, then the Bible is a mythical story and not a valid reference in this instance. If Jesus is God, then the Bible can be considered a valid source.

What this means is that your question is contradictory. You cannot quote the Bible to people who do not believe that Jesus was the Savior of mankind as these people see the Bible as an invalid source. When talking to people who do see Jesus as the Savior, there is no point in quoting the Bible because "the sale has already been made."

Conclusion, if I, for instance, did not believe that Jesus was God, then I would not then believe that he ever said he was God. See what I mean?

Oh,wow.I actually had a sense of humor until I read your details.Thank you for thinking I wanted to read all of that.I have my own Bible if I ever get the urge, but after seeing so much of it on here,I think I will never have the urge again. You might want to rethink your question if you're trying to make a point.I could say I'm God,but that doesn't mean I am.I'm not trying to be especially sacrilegious,it just kind of happens that way.

Yep - Jesus is God. Father, Son, Holy Spirit - three entities of the Godhead with different purposes. Father - Creator, Son - Savior, incarnate God, and Holy Spirit - Comforter who lives within us.

I believe that the Spirit in Jesus was God.
I believe that the Spirit in me is God, given through Jesus Christ.
I do not believe that Jesus is God, because We are instructed to not have any other God, nor worship any other God.
I believe that to worship any human being, ( in which undisputed, Jesus was human), would be to worship another God.
That the Spirit would be God, but not the Flesh, is, in my opinion, the answer.

So what you are telling me is, God came to earth as Jesus, to die on the cross, so his own, god-like, PURE blood could appease God's Wrath????? OR! He died, in sacrifice, to his own creation???? A God, killing himself/sacrificing himself to his own creation and then getting ticked when his creation doesn't accept it?
You know, sacrifices are supposed to be made FROM the Creation TO the Creator. Not the other way around.
If that man was God, he sacrificed absolutely NOTHING.

many Christians believe in THE DEITY. THE FATHER, THE SON JESUS CHRIST, THE HOLY GHOST--HOLY SPIRIT. the way this was explained to me was this. your dad is separate from your mom and you. your mom is separate from your dad and you. you are separate from your dad and your mom. yet you are all still a part of each other even though you are separate.
