why chinese language is hard to learn??

because of the writing system - in English, u only have 26 alphabets, but in chinese, you have much more than that. And the sentence structure for Chinese is completely different from English.
But learning English is just as hard as learning Chinese, =)

I think that most Asian languages are fairly difficult, but learning Mandarin Chinese will pay off. It is a very widely spoken language, and America has very close economic ties with China. Knowing Mandarin will be very useful in many places.

Because it has no basis in Western language. It is not related in either structure or sound. Since most western languages are derived from latin and greek, we find languages like spanish, french, and german easier to learn than more eastern languages such as chinese, japanese, and even arabic.

anyway. learning chinese is as hard as learning english. like, english is hard to a chinese who's never in touch with english. the same to an american who never know chinese exist

Chinese is a verbal tongue-twister for most foreigners. The grammar context and punctuation are almost completely opposite of all languages except Japanese. The writing itself is also hard, but I think it stupid if one graduate cannot even write his mother tongue properly.
