Nope. Have you personally ever seen a black hole or quasar or dark matter? If not, how do you know they exist? I'll tell you. Someone else interpreted data and made an inference based on the data, wrote something about it that you read, and you believe.
A similar thing occurs with the Bible. Someone (an apostle or close associate) wrote the books based on what they saw (just like the scientists). I read it and believe it is the inspired word of God.
Edit: We were talking about the consequences of believing. Your question was WHY should we believe that someone could be raised from the dead [as recorded in the Bible].
I took the approach of the validity of the Bible. What is the difference between the two? Neither of us have witnessed it first hand and even scientist have only noticed the radiation of quasars and not what they actually are. I believe in both, and have faith that both are true.

........just because u haven't seen a person raised from the dead doesn't mean other people haven't......it's true, people have been, it's says so in the bible.......my youth pastor has seen a person get the demin out of him and be lifted three inches off the ground no to mention that the doctors told him when he was 14 that he had only a few months to live bcause of a heart condition, but he 25 today and is still living..........and a girl who's muscles from decaing becaus she hadn't walked in forever because of cancer, but she went to church and she was jumping around praising the lord!!!!
don't assume because if u haven't, doesn't mean everyone else hasn't either!!

I saw a man who had overdosed and died. He was dead for over 18 minutes until help arrived. I prayed and prayed. I danced in the streets and shouted out praise. 30 minutes after he had no pulse and wasn't breathing he suddenly sits up and takes in a deep breath. Police, Fire and Paramedics avoided me. All I can say is he got a second chance at life. Glory be...

I`ve seen the spirit of a woman that was 78 years old,but when her spirit satup she was about 25 to 30 years old,yet her body was still laying down, the spirit live`s, the body die`s.Walk outside watch the tree`s,they die yet come back as all things do.Your spirit laughs at death,
anyone with a near to death experince will tell you the same....that`s fact !

Yes I have!
I raise from the dead every morning and go searching for the coffee and donuts.
I am then revived!
Whereas I was a zombie,I am promptly re-animated!

If I ever saw anyone rise from the dead, I'd run screaming.
I know people are going to give medical examples, and I also know that's not what you're getting at.
Great question.

Yes!!....You see the problem with people is they see things from one point of view...and maybe we can change that right now...
John the Baptist was the forerunner for Jesus Christ.. A man who even in the womb knew who Jesus was/is...and in time introduced him to the world...
Luke 3:16 says John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
This was an intro for Jesus..then in
John 1:29 the bible says 29. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Now He is showing Jesus and the fact that he knew him.
But when John was cast into prison for preaching the truth....as he sat in prison..he sent his (Johns) disciples to Jesus to ask him a question...
Matthew 11: 3.And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?...WHY? ...why would he ask this question after it was plain He knew the man??
we'll get to that in a minute...but I want you to look at the response Jesus gave him,
vs 4.Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me
Jesus did many of the miracles in which you read about and no doubt the people of God have the authority to do the same ...but ..there is spiritual..and there is natural...you see when you ask have you ever seen any raised from the dead...you look in the natural...the flesh and look for one...but if you look in the spirit realm...you should see millions.........
You see Jesus performed those things in the flesh so we could latch on to faith...so that if Jesus could do them and Jesus said in John: 14:12.Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
What that should mean to every Christian is ..because that Jesus went to be with the Father and sent back the Holy Ghost...we have the same ability that Jesus did when he was here and because ther are so many more of us (that is the greater part)...not that we are going to do something Jesus didn't do..but in the same works but in greater measure....
SO you see if you love the Lord we can raise from the dead..open blinded eyes ..unstop deaf ears ...make whole those that are lame...clothe those that are naked feed the hungry...in the spirit...sing the song ...amazing grace ...how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me..i was once lost but now am found WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE...I was blind once...but I received my sight when I received Jesus...I once could not hear the Lord but now I can hear him...i was once dead in trespasses
and sin...but am made alive..Ephesians 2:1
So John sits in prison ..wondering ...why am I here...you see he knew the word about Jesus...he knew that the government would rest upon his shoulders...IF the gov't is supposed to be resting upon his shoulders...then he (Jesus) should pardon me...but I'm still here...so Lord are you him or do we look for another...Jesus had to show him that he was the ONE..because he fulfilled the word in doing the will of his Father...and it was not yet time for him for the gov't to rest upon his shoulders...but Just because you don't see the Lord moving the way you want him to in your situation...don't doubt him...don't lose sight of the Lord because of hardship....that is the overall messege...God bless

I did Lazarus, to resurrect the soul a body is nothing,to resurrect a spirit dead in a living soul is the hardest thing of all to do.For when I call onto you ,your spirit cant hear or see me ,your dead and don't even know it.For I SAID ONTO YOU LONG AGO,don't worry and don't fear those that kill your soul you physical body ,but fear those that kill your spirit THAT IS ALIVE INSIDE YOUR SOUL.
