What is the point of carrying on, if their is nothing out there? You wake up in the morning, go to work, eat, come home, eat, watch tv, maybe go down the pub, go to bed, have sex (if your lucky, Get up the next day and repeat the day before.
Why not just end it all now?

I never said religion, I said God.
If God isn't real, then there is no heaven. That means there is nothing.
By the way who said I'm not a Christian?

Some people don't know how to read between the lines.
I never said that I don't believe in God. I said 'IF God isn't real what's the point of living?'
Who said I was depressed and I don't want to take my life neither.

I see your question being directed towards the Atheists and Agnostics here. It's a good one.
I'd like to add to it. If you do decide to live life, what constitutes a failure?
I'd have to think that anything short of decadence is complete mediocrity! Any unbeliever who says "the point is to live" or "try to increase knowledge to better everyone" is full of it and is simply afraid to live life like they profess to believe ... as a one time shot!

Selfish git. No one will be there when they finally plant you, will they? Taking pleasure and comfort from seeing your species progress and thrive is both natural and desirable. It's like supporting your favourite team/school/tribe/country/race etc. It's like helping your family/friends/people you come across in the street. We can only enjoy our one-shot lives if we are successful as a species and as a society. That involves working together. If you can't understand it, go and have some children, then maybe you'll be able to see past your own greedy gonads.
On second thoughts, don't. There are enough kids abandoned on the streets already.

I understand your feelings. Christianity has installed this hopelessness in you. There still maybe a 'God' of somekind. Its ok to admit you dont know. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there. Jesus is a myth, but dont let that worry you. It doesnt worry the animal world.
There has never been a 'personal God'

I think you need some excitement in your life you sound depressed! why not go and find a hobbie or make some new friends or even ask your family to go on a few days out with you. Your obviously feeling very lonely im sorry to hear that but please don't think of ending your life if there is a god im sure hes watching over you and if there isn;t then you should look after yourself better and learn to respect yourself more. Good luck with your life!! and remember to enjoy life you only live once!!

I think you answered the question yourself.
You say whats the point of living-
You wake up in the morning, go to work, eat, come home, eat, watch tv, maybe go down the pub, go to bed, have sex (if your lucky), Get up the next day and repeat the day before.
Thats IS the point!

How do you find a purpose in god? Life will still be the same. Look for merits within yourself, your family, and your friends, not within some god that is not really there. Life is simply about living, your reaping the benefits now; to love, to share, to create, it's beautiful, and screw the muslims for trying to take all of this away from us.

Living is the point in living, otherwise why would we have come into being in the first place?
If God existed, I'd hardly think the reason he'd put mankind on the Earth would be so they could eventually die and go to Heaven, otherwise he might aswell just have put them in Heaven in the first place.

there is a lot more to life than you just described here. you need to expand the horizons on which you base your life. look for the challenges and opportunities to gain wisdom and knowledge and share yours with others. do activities with and help others in the process. go find others less fortunate and give them a helping hand. become a big brother or sister. help do community work. get involved.

There is no official meaning or purpose to life, everyone has their own meaning. A meaning to life isn't even necessary though. Biologically, we WANT to live! Mentally healthy human beings don't need a purpose or reason to live, our brains tell us to stay alive. Do you honestly think god must exist in order to have a reason to live? I think that's a very pessimistic view of life.

Kind of a pathetic way of looking at it. You get out of life what you put into it, whether you believe in a God or not. If you only see repetition, then you'll probably not get much out of it.
