How come people overlook the fact that you don't know who is truly a civilian and who is a combatant? Just like Vietnam, there are many who dress and behave like civilians, but will turn and kill like a soldier? How many of these civilians were blown up by other Iraqis planting bombs by the roadside. How many were caught up in the crossfire? This is war, this is not a paintball game. They aren't having a slap fight at school. During war people die, civilians die.

It is a war against different "religious" beliefs. You have so many different religions causing different ares to fight each other. It still goes on. But just a people blame Bush for the sun setting at night, they'll keep blaming him for everything else that is "bad".

Yep its a civil war. Good call. If you will check your history books you will see that Iraq is great at civil war. 4000 since June is pretty good but Saddam did better. He wiped out entire villages of Kurds. Killed and estimated 200,000 of his own countrymen over his dictatorship. Not to include Kuwait citizens, Iranian soldiers and no telling who all else. Its been going on in the middle east for a few thousand years now. And yet they still have civil war. They have been having one civil war after another a whole lot longer than the US has been around. Don't blame us for their civil war. Unfortunately its their way of population control. I wish them luck.

who wins with these battles? 3rd party

let them fight it out, they say

they already hated each other, but ironically they are just like us, they can't see past religious differences or sectarian debates and think the only solution is to kill each other and hope they are the last fighter standing

we do it to ourselves in US

but the deaths in Iraq can definitely be attributed to the US war of choice and weakening the structure and removing power, creating a vacuum and of course violence to acquire it, which the US had it's own leaders at the ready and this interim gov't made all kinds of shady deals that we profited off of, which made the Iraqis all the more upset

death is the symptom, occupation and imperialism is the source

Don't blame the Iraqis. If you'd never have went there it wouldn't be happening. Americans were the ones waving the flags and rejoicing in victory three years ago and look at it now. The USA is a freaking disgrace and you can give that a thumbs down if you like but you know it's the truth. You people need to take a long hard look at yourselves.

Well, considering we had 50,000 killed in our civil war in a single day I would say no.

Some people say the answer is President Bush. Others say it's Emperor George. Take your pick.

I think you are asking the wrong people this question.
Get your passport, and a plane ticket, fly to Baghdad and start asking silly questions like this. Then when you are kidnapped by the people who are really slaughtering civilians ask them your question.

better you ask Israel. their secret agents divided Iraqis into groups and made them fight each other. Israeli blasted a Shia mosque and made it as if the Sunni had done it. And USA do nothing to stop the violence. Even the evil Saddam wouldnt stand this and would try to stop people dying.

USA and Israel are terrorists
